Non-Disney Online Games (Wizard 101) Quest Tips & Help Thread!

Now that I have finished everything in the Beta @_@, uh, I have nothing to do. :D Anyone need any help? Level 33 Pyromancer:wizard:

Wow, you rock! I'm on Level 23. I tend to level up when I'm helping on quests. I noticed that the Throne Room / Map Room quest will reset itself even if you've finished it before. I was helping someone with it last night and noticed it popped up on me again. The experience points leveled me up.

Ok for all those newbies out there that are way behind the main group. After you meet the teachers you go see Prof. Ambrose. There was nothing in my quest book. He gave me a note that gave me permisson to go to Unicorn Way. Where I then see people with ! on top of there heads

So I found it by wandering around.

Oh is this the whole game go find someone defeat bad people rinse and repeat. Never played anything likethis so just wondering.

If you see any NPC character with yellow punctuation over their heads, stop and interact with them. And even when they say they are "done", check to see if more punctuation pops up...it often does! And you'll see gray question marks above those whose quests you've accepted and not finished yet.

Is anyone on right now that would like to help me get to the Criminal Hideout in Chelsey Ct, Marleybone?

I keep trying to get there on my own, but end up fighting 2 or 3 level 4 elite bad dudes and they defeat me everytime!

Thanks!

Fly - who is still a Lava Girl....

well you just let me know if you need any help on unicorn way :thumbsup2

I'm their hero if you hadnt heard :rotfl:

Pretty much. Sometimes you get to run back and forth between good guys without fight, like you are their messenger (usually a way to get you introduced to a new area). The bad guys get progressively harder, of course, but you get more experience/spells and more treasures/gold. I see it as a series of puzzles to figure out, which I like. The 'battles' are just a way to get another piece of the puzzle.

Thanks I do enjoy running around. More of a figure it out as you go. Though I am still a beginner. Only at level 5 rofl. When is a good time to buy magic cards. I have like 165 in gold?

Progressively?! Tonight I had begun to believe it was 'exponentially'! :rotfl:
Those level three dudes are easily taken out by my sunbird or even my treebeard. But, they didn't hardly make a dent in those level four dudes! It was like the difference between a 6.5 earthquake and a 7.2! Lots and lots of difference!;):lmao:
Oh and thanks for the help tonight Padric! Just remember I'll be calling you all when I get in that tomb too.;)

Wow! Good job!

I don't know if we're ever on at the same time but I need help with several street fights in Newgate, Hyde and Knight's. Let me know the time you are usually on and hopefully we can meet.:)

NEWS FLASH: They just closed the game for an update. This is probably the "Monster Difficulty" adjustment they have talked about on the site's forums. If so, everyone should find it a tad easier to defeat some of those beasties.

UNRELATED NOTE: At Level 28, my Myth Wizard was given a quest for a new spell by the ever-charming Professor Drake. I am supposed to locate the seraph Lady Sylvan, who is the sister of Oriel (of the Hedge Maze, Unicorn Way). The trail has led to Hyde Park in Marleybone, where I have been instructed to defeat Kenedy the Klaw. Although an NPC told me I could find him in the warehouse past the spiders, he is not there. Nor is he in any of the other warehouses/safehouses/boss hangouts in Hyde Park. (Believe me, I have the battle scars to prove it.)

If you, or anyone you know in the game, can provide me with any guidance or information, I'd really appreciate it. TIA. :wizard:

I'm going to try to do The Ironworks in Marleybone this evening (~5:00 PDT), and could certainly use the help. I hate that it is an instance -- and I've already been defeated there once.

Sorry I didn't get any emails to the thread being posted to yesterday @_@ so I didn't see any responses until I came to post this morning. So sorry!

I would be happy to help each of you, and my friend Cheryl as well. We can be on after 5pm PDT Wednesday and after 4pm PDT Thursday. Will either of those times work for you?

I will make certain to check the thread even if I don't get an email this time.:wizard:

My daughter and I play the game together. She is a Storm. I am Life. We are both at level 19, however, I have way more health and mana than she does. I have around 1200 health and she has around 900. My plan is to play her wizard and do battles that will gain her experience points so that she can increase her health and mana levels. I don't want to work on the quests because we have been doing those together and I don't want to level up.

What I have noticed is that when battling and not doing a quest, the experience points are very low. I am trying to save up gold in order to buy better accessories for her. Is there any other way of doing this?

Are you up for another run through Kensington?

It is just the nature of the schools, some schools get way more health/mana per level than other schools. As an example, I've recently started playing my Balance wizard and gotten her up to about level 15... she has about 900 health while my level 35 storm wizard has only about 1300 and the gear my storm wizard has is much better than the gear my balance wizard has.

PS - Is the game still down for the update?

You betcha...just plan on several hours. Maybe not if it is the same team, you, cheryl, Kayla and me....that was so quick.

Could it be your clothing plundered? Check and see if she has the best clothing on for her avatar? I get tons of extra health and manna just from what I wear.

Think so... Can't connect to server still.

Could be. She is definitely into the wizard fashion while I run around looking like a green vegetable wizard. :wizard:

I’ll be on both Wednesday and Thursday about 5:30PDT. I managed to complete the Ironworks yesterday (woot!) and am now starting on Scotland Yard. I still have some things in Hyde Park to clean up, too. My Myth Wizard's name is Kenneth LegendSmith.

My daughter and I play the game together. She is a Storm. I am Life. We are both at level 19, however, I have way more health and mana than she does. I have around 1200 health and she has around 900.
I’ve stopped playing my Storm Wizard at the moment because of his health/mana deficiency. When I compared him with my Pyromancer at the same level (15), I discovered he was a full 100 HP lower in stats, after I adjusted for any clothing/accessory boosts. I guess they have designed it that way because Storm School spells are much stronger, but I thought the higher fizzle rate took care of that discrepancy.

My plan is to play her wizard and do battles that will gain her experience points so that she can increase her health and mana levels. I don't want to work on the quests because we have been doing those together and I don't want to level up.
The experience points you receive in battle, like those you receive from completing quests, go towards increasing your character’s level. Your maximum health/mana levels only increase through (a) leveling up your character, or (b) wearing health/mana boosting clothing and accessories.

One possible way to get your daughter’s health/mana closer to yours (without more questing/character leveling) is to re-fight some of the boss battles she’s completed. Bosses drop some of the best gear, so she may get a prized item. I’d especially try bosses in the “stormy” areas – like Triton Avenue in Wizard City or the Tomb of Storms in Krokotopia. Before the wipe, my Storm Wizard got an awesome robe, which boosted his health, mana and spell accuracy. (Sorry, I can’t remember which boss dropped that on him.) If my post-wipe Storm Wiz had that item, he wouldn’t be sitting back in the classroom currently.

Sure took a while to load. Interesting to see that they added an ignore button.

I can FINALLY bury the old Krok's bones. Mshai has been haunting me forever about getting his bones in the right place!!
:D

But now :( my quest book is empty.:wizard:

The sound effects are nice tho. :)

Woot! I'll be happy to get that task out of my spellbook, too. (Maybe I'll be able to find Kenedy the Klaw after this update, too.)

Question: Do you have to fight a boss to get to the sarcophagus? Or do you find it out in the regular hallways? I am so sick of running around that tomb looking for it that I want to get this over with as quickly and as painlessly as possible. ;)

No bosses. Just go to the Djeserit (sp?) crypt and you stand in front of the middle sarcophagus. Then you run back to see him in the Ahnic tomb....same old guy. They forgot to change his name on the map tho. He is a Djeserit not Ahnic as the map says.
