...-40-45 degrees celcius this morning...I am so antsy to leave I can hardly stand it! My kids were "packing" last night despite the fact that I had told them we don't leave for almost three weeks.

I want to go now in the worst possible way and please please please let there be sun.:goodvibes

WOW, and I thought I was cold at 17F this morning.

Yikes!! I heard it was cold everywhere in Canada and the northeastern states today. We're cold over here too but only -4. Its beautiful and sunny though (no rain! Huge accomplishment for Vancouver :cool1:)

Stay warm and dream of sunny CA!

You know what funny... -40 celsius is the same as -40 fahrenheit! Damn cold either eway!

It's 60F here this morning... And I thought I was cold!

We actually have a freeze warning for tomorrow morning here in the desert with highs expected only in the upper 40s. Gotta enjoy these little tastes of winter when we can get them!

We are super lucky not to be dumped in piles of snow!!! So DEFINITE KUDOS to no rain the last few days, and again today! :goodvibes But the coast winds and damp weather just chill you to the bone! My electric blanket has become my bestest buddy!

i would like look at weather online or someting before you leave and check out what it will be like when your at DLR. lately it's been in the 70's but then we had that one day that it rained..sooo yah i guess i would just look at what the weather will be like.. :)

Like Funball said, it's been really nice lately but we did have a rainy day the other day and i saw it's supposed to be getting a little cooler in the next few days. But, the good news is that even if Southern California is having the coldest day of the year it won't be anywhere near the cold the temperatures you're having up there! :)

The websites I've checked say that average temps (highs) for February are 66°F (or 19°C for us Canadians). Is this pretty accurate do you think? We'll be there mid-month and want to make sure we pack the right clothes. I was planning on packing mostly pants with t-shirts and sweaters for layering.

65 in So Cal today. I just walked in from work, am on the couch with pup, with the backdoor wide open, bringing a refreshing breeze through the house, reading in Facebook about my cousin in New England watching the snow coming down. It's like two different worlds. I can't even imagine living in 18 degree weather... ah, but I bet it will be gorgeous there tomorrow.

Then again, it's pretty beautiful here too in So. Cal. :)

I have no idea what that even feels like! I thought it was cold last month when stayed in the 40s and 50s during the day. We were having 70 degree weather last week, this week it seems to be staying in the low to mid 60's. However, as I was enjoying the nice weather last week, I was reminded of the down side of living in CA. Earthquakes. Had a small 2.9 the other night just big enough to feel a sudden jolt and make me worry that a bigger one was coming. Fortunately, it didn't.
