I know in recent years the government discontinued allowing letters and packages to 'any soldier'
since i can't send a card or package to an anonymous person and i don't personally know anyone serving overseas i was wondering if a DISer has a friend or family member that i can send something to this holiday season? or maybe we here at the CB can adopt a unit or something??

I still use anysoldier.com

Cant just write Any soldier, then the address...
when you get the address, just write exactly what it says..it is usually someone's name..then any soldier..then the address

I agree with the above poster. In the past, I've gotten contact information from http://www.anysoldier.com. They list the service member's contact information, the number of service members they are providing packages for, and their needs/wants.

If you don't care to use the anysoldier website, feel free to PM me and I'll give you the contact info for DH's aunt who is a SGM serving in the Army at Camp Liberty. I've been sending her and her troops a package every month since she shipped out.

Our overseas service members love snacks, idividual-sized microwaveable foods (for those folks who are on-duty at odd times and can't make it to the mess), and just hearing from people back here in the States that we are thinking of them and care about them.
