With the crowds this large, how fast do Fastpasses run out?

We’re heading to Disneyland in a few days, but haven’t been during this time of the year in a very long time. I’m trying to decide if the extra $ for Maxpass is going to be worth it, and one of the factors I’m weighing is how quickly do Fastpasses get distributed when the parks are as busy as right now.

We’ve downloaded the Disneyland app, which is great for current wait times, but unless I’m missing something, it doesn’t indicate Fastpass return times.

Any info on the FP situation with these kinds of crowds is hugely appreciated!!!

You can see the fastpass return times. On the park map on the app click on the attraction wait time. When you go into that window it will show (next to the current standby wait time) the 'Now Distributing' fastpass time' or if they've run out for the day - 'Sorry, there not available right now'.
It's helpful to look at in the days leading up to your trip to see how fast the fast passes are going during that time.
Hope that helps a bit, have a wonderful trip! : )

Edited to add: most fast passes are gone today but if you look at Grizzly Rapids you can see an example of the above

THANK YOU!!! Wow - not sure how we missed that - should have thought to click on the wait time bubble....

I’m at the parks right now. As of about 5 PM Disneyland was showing no availability, even though the park is open until midnight.

They will run our quicker.. BUT I assure you that you can still fill your day if you start early and book a fastpass every single time you are able to. When you book one it will tell you what time you can book another one. (Disneyland daily has a great post about this) you don’t have to use the one you have first. So if you keep booking all day every time your able to, you will start to stack them for the afternoon, evening, etc.

First, great to see another Ram on the board. Second, if you can get MaxPass, my family of five just did the parks on the 22nd (DCA) and 23rd (DL). On the 23rd we ended up getting to the park at 11 and wanted to do the parade and the magic map. We decided to stack the MaxPass fast passes for later in the afternoon. We ended up stacking four for the early evening. Just make sure to get your first one on the app the moment you get to the park and then add to the list every 90 minutes (or once you have checked into your last ride). We ended up wth seven total MaxPass rides in DL that day. The day before in DCA we used 8 MaxPass rides and rode the single rider line for Cars twice (we did notice a couple of the more popular rides run out of passes but mid evening). Go knowing the crowds will be huge, have fun, and enjoy.

Likewise! Came to Fort Collins to go to school in '89 and never left :) Great place to raise a family - plus we're in easy travel distance to both Anaheim *and* Orlando, so that's a plus as well...

Thanks for the detail - really sounds like MaxPass is going to be worth it on this particular trip, so we'll be signing up as soon as we hit the park that morning.
