with new tickets; how do the old tickets work at the gates?

With the new "magic your way tickets" where the tickets are biometric and you have to get a hand scan to use them (is this system in full place yet?) - how does it work if you have an old park hopper ticket with days left on it? How is this handled at the gate?

Exactly the same way they used to handle them. Absolutely no change. You put your ticket in the slot, it comes out on the other side and you enter. The stuff isn't retroactive. The scan is only for the NEW tickets. This is first hand knowledge, btw, as I just went there a few weeks ago with park hopper tickets purchased 2 and a half years ago. Nothing changed from before.
