It will be DH & myself and our two children DS (10) and DD (7). Any suggestions on what to do with our precious hours on the ship? First time cruisers no less...

Thanks for any suggestions :wave2:

If Palo is on your list, make sure you get there early for ressies. With just as many people on board as the 7 day but only 3 nights, they fill up fast - we missed out on our last 3 day and checked every day for cancelations with no success.

With so many activities, there are going to be things you miss - no regrets - just rebook!

We were on the 4 day cruise. And you cannot do everything.

We read these boards, read other boards and their literature and chose what we would like to do.

As soon as we boarded, us girls waited in line for Palo reservations, while the guys toured the ship. We were able to get our night at Palo.

You have to go with the flow on pretty much everything, you'll have less stress and enjoy it a lot.

And you can always rebook, like we did.::yes:: ::yes:: ::yes::

Enjoy.

Do everything that interests you but do it really fast...:rotfl:

Don't stress on trying to do everything. Just take it as it comes and you will have a great time. It's a no brainer you can't miss having a good time. You are cruising!!

Read everything you can here and in the navigators on my site at www.castawayclub.com and Dave's site at www.dcltribute.com. Then identify your top five priorities and focus on accomplishing those rather than driving yourself crazy trying to do everything. We have taken 36 Disney cruises and still have not managed to do everything. It's virtually impossible! But you WILL enjoy the things that you choose to do. :D

Arrive at the port by 10:30 so you can be ready to board as soon as the ears open, that gives you a longer first day. We boarded, ate lunch, toured the ship a bit, went to rooms, and went swimming all before the sail away party. The first afternoon is the emptiest I saw the mickey pool.

Do the early seating. It does make the afternoon a little rushed at the end but it was nice to sit and relax a bit and gear back up for the evening activities. The kids can eat and then go the clubs to hang out while you finish dinner and the join back up for the shows. They were all great.

Thanks for your replies. 3 days is such a short time. Where we've never been on a cruise I wasn't sure if there were a few "not to be missed" things we should consider. We'll be on the cruise after 5 nights at WDW. I'm quite sure relaxation will be priority!!!
