just wondering we have ressies for 10/31-11/4 for CBR and wondering if we should now switch to another moderate or I keep thinking maybe when CRO calls they will offer upgrade to deluxe for maybe little more? I would switch now and get the moderate I want before they would have to switch me to one I may not want to stay at? I would pick POFQ for my switch.
Thanks for replies!:bounce: :bounce: :bounce: :bounce:

I had a problem last Christmas with Disney. I have stayed at every resort and wanted to try a new one on my list. Thus I was going to POP Century. I was also suppose to wait for a call however didn't trust Disney to wait. Disney wanted to put me in AS resort ! I said that I had already been there and "Don't think so". I explained why I chose the PC resort .
After 3 phone calls they finally got me 11 nights at AK lodge Savana view with tax for $109 per night. What a smart move for them as I have returned to that resort an additional 3 times. Its the best!
I honestly believe Disney could referbish the resort in the spring!
However we are all missing the point why its closing so quickly.
Their stock is at an 8 year low mmmmm!

LOS ANGELES, Aug 2 (Reuters) - Shares of Walt Disney Co. (DIS) fell sharply on Friday to their lowest levels in nearly eight years after it posted weak quarterly results from slack theme park attendance and warned of worse conditions ahead.

Disney's tumbling share price also sent stocks of travel and leisure companies downward in sympathy as much of the company's current weakness was tied to sluggish tourism at Disney's theme parks like Walt Disney World in Florida.

Debt rating agency Standard & Poor's weighed in, too, saying it may cut Disney's long-term corporate credit rating.

Following Disney's fiscal third quarter earnings report late Thursday, Chief Financial Officer Tom Staggs said theme park reservations were down about 10 percent in the current quarter, leading to lower-than-expected fourth quarter profits.

"The company's outlook was decidedly more negative than our expectations," Merrill Lynch analyst Jessica Reif Cohen said.

If they were closing it just to close it, I highly doubt that they woudl spend so much money refurbishing it!

I have reservations at CBR 10/30 - 11/05. I am going to force my self to wait patiently for a call from CRO. If I a don't get an upgrade, okay, but the odds are probably better if they call me and I am politely surprised and disappointed!

I had res for CBR from 10/240-10/28. I didn't wait for the call and asked my DU agent to change it over to POR for me because I don't like the feeling of not knowing where I will be staying at, especially it will be a special trip for us.

But I believe I would be offered with another moderate or an upgrade when Disney calls me. Disney is great and experienced in that.

I am doing both. I have a back-up reservation at POFQ. I will wait for someone to call me and see if I can get something more interesting.

We have ressies from 9/29 - 10/3. I am tempted to just cancel and take the Marriott at $25 a night and save the money.

DH wants to wait to see what Disney offers when they call. He really wanted Poly or WL in the first place so were going to wait it out.
