If I remember quickly (how quickly I forget ), the tickets were in our room the night before. I know that we didn't have to go anywhere special to pick up the tickets. Yeah, its coming back to me.....they were in our room on the desk

Yes, all tickets for anything planned with Disney (either onboard or excursions) will be in your stateroom either on the desk or bed in time for when they're needed. They're very organized about it.

I remember our head server handing us ours the night before.

You can ask your head server if that is still the way they are doing it and if so let them know you will not be there the night before and need your tickets early.

The servers are very accomodating.

The tickets are really for show - and collecting anyways. Since you sit at your assigned table, with your normal waiters, you don't need the ticket to get it. It's just a reminder when your breakfast is.

Keep in mind that if you miss your scheduled character breakfast, you can ask your head server to see about getting you into another character breakfast. If there is space available, they can get you in
