With all the buzz about BLT . . .

. . . is anyone else wondering how long it will take them to add a DVC building onto the Poly?

We just purchased a nice chunk of points at AKV, and I was wondering if I was going to feel at all jealous of those purchasing at BLT. I must admit, that monorail access to MK will be nice, but I wasn't overly fond of the decor, inside or out. Maybe if it were just my DH and I traveling together - but not for my family with young kids. I'm relieved to say I'm happy with our AKV purchase.

I WOULD, however, be jumping out of my pants for a DVC at the Poly. Once they get an insane response for BLT, wouldn't they HAVE to consider this? There's certainly enough land over there, isn't there?

We paid for our entire DVC purchase in cash - and we figure it will take about three years to pay ourselves back. I hope shortly thereafter I will have the joyful opportunity to twist DH's arm to add on at Poly!

Anyone else with me? Who wants to start a Disboard campaign to show those Disney execs that we also want a Poly DVC? Maybe we could come up with a great name for it!

Any suggestions?

I'm right there with you. I would love a DVC at the Polynesian. I think that's what I'm waiting for. I've always wondered why the chose Contemporary over the Polynesian. I think the Polynesian with its theme would make a wonderful DVC resort. But I guess that just me, I'm biased.

We just bought at AKV also. I would love to be at the location of BLT, but I also like the idea of having animals outside of my room. I'm also concerned about the amount of traffic inside BLT. I know the parks are crazy, but I like the idea of retreating to my villa. With a 3 yr. DD, MK is always top on our list, but the atmosphere of BLT is questionable. Poly would be awesome!

I'm going to go see if I can dig up a map of that area to see where they could add on. They would have amazing views, too!

BLT hasn't even been a reality for more than 6 hours, AND they threw in the Treehouse villas for safe measure... AND we already have the "I Want Poly DVC threads..." You people need help!

I think because at the Contemporary they could build a tower, allowing many rooms in a small amount of land space. A tower would be out of place at the Poly. There's not enough available land to build many rooms with only 3 stories. The rumor is the land between the Contemporary and the TTC is not stable to build on.

Wasn't Walt's first plan to have 7 resorts around the 7 seas lagoon?

(Although it was 7 cultures and I'm not sure if GF and Contemporary fit in).
