I have family of 5: 2 adults, 3 kids ages 15, 9, and 7. Made Ressie for WWC and i am looking at the menu now that i found it. I "thought" it was buffet or family style. I see a family skillet option... can you order that on the DDP? Are the children allowed to eat that or do they have to get a child meal?
What if all some want that skillet and some want to order entree? My DH is very picky and allergic to some things (mostly seasonings and sauces)

We have mostly Buffet meals and character meals for our TS picks. Im just not sure how things work at WCC when your on the DDP.
I have:
Chef Mickey (dinner)
Garden Grill (dinner)
Liberty Tree tavern (dinner durring CP remodel)
Ohana (breakfast)
Tuskar House (nemo seating lunch)
Wispering Canyon Cafe' (dinner)
1900 Park Faire (breakfast)

The skillet is on the dining plan. But if I were you because of allergies, I would call ahead to order something, the chef could prepare it for you.

Nothing worse than being sick while on vacation.

Yes children can get the skillet and no, not everyone has to get it. Those that don't get it are not suppose to eat from it though.

Children have to pay like 2 dollars more for the skillet if they are on the DDP. We love this restaurant and are going back on our trip in January!

We're on the DDP.

We were just there last night. DS is 3 and had the child's skillet (no extra charge). We each had the skillet - it comes in one huge skillet - family style. Honestly, we weren't that impressed. The ribs were really dry, so most of those didn't get eaten. I did enjoy the chicken and DH and my mom liked the pulled pork, but the rest was unimpressive. DS liked the mashed potatoes the best out of his skillet. The salad and cornbread were pretty good.

We brought our desserts back to the villa. DH got the bourbon pecan pie and said it wasn't very good. My mom got the smores cheesecake and said it was just ok. I got the cheesecake as well, but it's still in the fridge.

One other thing about WCC - it's LOUD! lol Your kids are older and will probably love it. Mine are a little too young for all the screaming the servers do, but they handled it well and did ok. We might try it again when they're older and can enjoy it a little more. People did seem to be having a great time there.

When we ate there my DH got the skillet and I had the ribeye. Both meals were very good. We are going back.
Kids love this place, the wait staff really involve them, it is cute.

Personally, with allergies, I would call ahead. And, again, personally, I wouldn't order the skillet. One of the three worse meals (DH got sick on the ribs/chicken in the skillet) we've ever had at Disney (besides downright rude and horrible service) and won't be going back.

If we dont do WCC what would you all suggest
I have:
2/6 arrival day probably hit MK or Epcot maybe tour resort all depends on arrival time and how tired we are dont wanna do a TS dinner since we are driving and traffic can delay our arrival.
2/7 Epcot Day: Chef Mickey (dinner)
2/8 Epcot Day: Garden Grill (dinner)
2/9 MK day: Liberty Tree Tavern (dinner durring CP remodel)
2/10 MK day: Ohana (breakfast)
2/11 DHS day: Nothing but CS
2/12 AK day:Tuskar House (Nemo seating lunch)
2/12 AK day: Wispering Canyon Cafe' (6:50pm dinner)
2/13 Departure day:1900 Park Faire (breakfast)
I do not have hoppers and will not be purchasing them so it must be a resort location or same park as we will be in. So maybe something close to or inside DHS or something for the evening after AK closes? Staying at Fort Wilderness cabins.

If you're looking for a buffet on an AK day, have you considered Boma at AKL? My DH is a pickey eater and this is the only place he requested we eat at.
