Our limo arrived at our home at 4:15 pm and took us to BDL for a 5:55 pm flight. The actual flight was supposed to be 2 hours 41 min with an arrival time of 8:41 pm, but because of some strong head winds we ended up being 15 minutes late. The flight itself was probably one of the best flights I've been on . . .very smooth and a nice ride.
When we arrived at MCO, Mohammed was waiting for us from Your Ride with a beautiful, clean, (DS says "cool" with all the neon lights inside) stretch limo. There were ice cold waters and sodas waiting for us.
The weather wasn't too bad, a bit muggy with light rain (a bit of foreshadowing)
We arrived at WL and check-in was a breeze. The actual resort itself is beautifuly themed (Amer-Native) and the CM's very helpful and nice. The CM who checked us in said the WL was at 100% capacity.
Four days before our arrival I faxed in my requests (5th or 6th floor with a possible glimpse of fireworks) We already had requested Woodsview w/bunks. We ended up in Room 5083 which was above Whispering Canyon and the room did have a glimpse of the fireworks (which was cool). The room was very clean and very cold! The temp was set at 40 degrees!
The sliders were all crystalized
After raising the temp and un-packing we went exploring.
We ended up at Roaring Fork and grabbed a small bite to eat. Good fast food when you are in a hurry. We purchased our refillable mugs at that point too. After that I went exploring to find some smoking areas. I had this great one right on our floor that looked out at Bay Lake and we could watch the water pageant from there . . .it was like my own private balcony since I seemed to be the only guest on the 5th floor using it.
We finally got to sleep around 11:30 on the most comfortable mattresses I've slept on . . .I don't know what kind they were, but they were amazing!
On to Day 2 . . .
