Wishing for a Poly DVC?

With the apparent upcoming announcement of BLT, I can't help but wonder if the lack of ambiance at BLT is going to keep me from buying into it. So I am torn between plunking down Big $ for BLT or adding on at BCV and holding out hope for a Poly. DVC. What are your feelings?

I have two homes now that I am happy with but sure I would love to stay at any future DVC resorts. I am sure one day I will be able to get in at the 7 month window. Just remember those people that buy in have to also use BIG points to stay there even at the 11 month window. I am sure there will be open villas to stay at throughout the non peak times. I am sure there will be less cash stays too because it will cost so much. Is a Poly resort something that could possibly happen??

I am definitely adding on at BLT.

As for the Poly, it depends on where they placed it and what type of views it had.

No more add ons at WDW for us. We are hoping to add on to Ko Olina when they start selling.

We will not add on at BLT - the "deluxe apartment in the sky" type of accomodation just does not appeal to us.

Voted for adding on elsewhere (probably AKV) and for Poly & GF if they ever become a reality.

The hope for a Poly DVC is the reason we decided to take the incentives for AKV now. BLT was intriguing but after thinking about it the only thing we really like about BLT is the location on the monorail. So we took the incentives and are hoping for Poly down the road.

We'll never add on again. We might sell another contract and leave us with only one. I've sold two, waiting on ROFR for the third one to sell.

I voted twice. we will definitely be adding on elsewhere (BCV - always need more points), but would seriously consider an addon at a GFV, if it ever came to be.

I'm pretty happy right now with being able to get into (almost) any resort at non-peak times at the 7 month window, but I would definitely consider a small contract at the Poly if it became available.

With out a doubt we would add on at Ploy and GR. Most of the points would be poly. I think if that actually happened I would get a few 100 of each.

Dh and I have sentimental reasons to like The Contemporary, so we are definitely contemplating purchasing BLT.

I would normally prefer POLY over GF, but saw someone's fantasy layout for both DVC resorts and the GF definitely had advantages in terms of available space.

We are pretty happy with our BWV and may decide to add-on there when and IF we ever take the plunge.

I completely agree with you - in fact, I have to admit that when I first saw BLT going up with crescent shape the first thing that came to mind was the Watergate complex in DC (of Nixon resignation fame)!

I already told the family if GF ever became DVC be ready cause I am buying major points there. We have stayed there once and it is my favorite resort. I think if the DVC powers that be really want to boost sales they need to take notice of how many current members would jump at Poly or GF.

Funny you said that, I thought the same thing!

Out of the 3 monorail resorts, GF would be the only one I'd be interested in. It was the first resort I stayed at and I've always loved it (stayed there one other time). I stayed at Poly on my second trip and was not impressed, no desire to stay there again.
