I know, I am probably hoping for pixie dust that has lost its lustre, but here is goes anyways....
In January 2013 my Mother, Brother and I took a cruise with 2 separate cabins. While we were on the cruise we did an onboard booking for January 2014. Come January 2014 my brother was enlisted in the Marines and WAS NOT allowed to travel even home, let alone on a cruise that left the United States. To be honest, life was so ridiculously crazy I didn't even think at the time about calling Disney let alone worry about a re-booking plan.
Fastforward to now and my Mom and I (both the leads on the past used booking and the onboard future booking), are taking an elderly friend on a cruise. My Brother cannot travel, and will not be able to travel with us, still due to his career.
Granted, the deposits were minimal, but if I contact Disney and advise them of what occurred what is the likelihood they would take that into consideration in any way?
