Hi ladies!
Now I can't speak on behalf of DFTW, but I can based upon my own experience.
It seemed like at first that Disney really didn't want anything to change when it came to the Tutera collections. However, after a few questions I had they seemed willing to change a few things with David's approval. Then once I met with my wedding planner, coordinator, and the floral dept back at our site visit in October, they told me that they are now able to be a little more flexible with the designs.
I think because they have a few other Couture weddings they are planning right now (I know of two that will take place before mine... but as far as I know mine is the first Simply Chic) that their experience is helping to mold their mindset a bit more. I guess that's part of the reason why I'm really glad mine isn't the first one! I rather have someone else have the kinks sorted out, if you know what I mean!
Not sure what the new flexibility specifically means, but this is my experience... At the site visit, we all sat around and started talking about using burnt orange chargers, a few burnt orange orchids, and maybe even changing the color of the underlining linen on the tables. We even talked about changing some of the flowers in the table centerpieces (I'm not a fan of the smell of lilies.) Another idea was to have burnt orange rose petals lining either side of the runner in the isle of the pavillion during the ceremony.
I'm not sure what kind of changes you would want to make to the design, but it seemed to me that they would be willing to hear you out at least and then maybe see how it could work. In my case, I didn't really want to change much of anything, but they were the ones with so many different (and great!) ideas (the table linen, runner, etc.)
One cool thing was that some couture bride out there is having the Cocktail Soiree as her rehearsal dinner and then the classic elegance for her wedding reception. That's got to cost a pretty penny, but it sounds like an amazing multi-day event!!
Let me know if you have any specific questions! I'd be glad to help as much as I can!
