I read somewhere that if you sit outside at the Plaza, when Wishes start, Tink flies down over head.

Is it realistic to expect to get a table with a view?

We were thinking of Thurs., May 28th. MK closes @ 9pm.

There is no outdoor seating at the Plaza.

What there is, is a line of umbrella-covered picnic tables along the fence on the sidewalk in front of the restaurant (where people waiting to be seated inside are often waiting), and a terraced area with a few more picnic tables down towards the river level just beyond that - the lower terrace area is where, if you are standing there when Wishes begins, Tinkerbell will fly right over your head.

This area has nothing to do with the Plaza restaurant (other than being located across the sidewalk from it) and anyone may take a seat/stand there at any time.

HTH :thumbsup2

we sat at the tables outside the ice cream shop next the Plaza Restaurant a couple of nights. They are not part of the Plaza and are first come first serve. You have a great view of Wishes and Tink, but Tink's ride is more towards Tomorrowland.

Here is a link to a photo of the lower-level riverfront terrace:

You can see the castle in the background. If you are standing in the lower right part of this photo area when Wishes begins, Tinkerbell will fly right over your head. The stairs leading down to the terrace are located across from the restrooms which are between the Plaza and the Tomorrowland Noodle Terrace.

The picnic tables at street level are at the top of these stairs, running back to the left as you look at this photo.

So, if we were seated on the terrace of the Plaza, we would have a view of Wishes.

Howw hard is it to get seated on the terrace?

The terrace is not part of the restaurant.

It is an open picnic area that is available to anyone and everyone in the park that day.

To get a spot out there for Wishes, all you must do is walk up and sit down early enough to beat anyone else who wants to sit there.

There is no restaurant service to this area, but you could bring snacks or CS food from somewhere else to sit and eat it.

All seating for the Plaza restaurant is inside the restaurant building.

Do you think maybe they (the person who wrote about viewing Wishes from the Plaza) maybe was talking about this part of the diding room? This gazebo thing.

Thanks for the info. That looks like a nice picnic area. Cool website too.

I know I'm not going to be able to get the kids to wait long or the DH for that matter, so I was trying to figure out a way to be able to view Wishes more comfortably w/o having to sit & wait for 45 min.

We've been seated in that room many times, and if you have a late ADR then you will definitely be seated here as they clear/clean the main dining room while the last half-dozen tables are seated in the 'patio' room.

The view from here (either this room or the main dining room) is limited at best, even with all of the windows, because folks will line the street outside and stand against the windows waiting for the show. You will also not be able to hear the sound/music inside the restaurant.

Last time we were there during Wishes, we had little ability to see anything but flashes of light when the fireworks exploded, and the backside of countless folks mobbed on the street outside. I do not recommend it as an option if you are really wanting to see the show.

Thanks I 'm begining to get the picture.

Well I'm not waiting in hold for 2 1/2 hours to make an ADR. I guess I'll think about it some more.

You never have to wait to get a great view of Wishes. Just find a standing spot on Main Street a few minutes before it begins. As another mentioned, the view from The Plaza would not be good. It would even be difficult to see much of Spectro with all the people standing outside.

The Plaza is great for burgers, sandwiches and ice cream, but IMHO you should get your ADR earlier in the day.
