wishes viewing for dessert party...

For anybody who has done the dessert party...how was the fireworks viewing?

We did it in July. We thought it was okay, but nothing great. However we have seen Wishes many times. It might be a good idea for your first time. The desserts were great but we were staying CL and on the DDP so I was kind of "desserted" out by that time (we stayed for two weeks). The best part was being able to see Tink fly right over us. You do have to stand right against the railing to get a good view of Wishes but there were plenty of spots. HTH.

Don't get your hopes up, it is sold out for the rest of the time they are offering it. Bummer.

I already have the ressies...for the first night of our trip, so we won't be sick of the desserts by then!!

We did it on the first night of our trip and we thought it was really good.We did go stand at the railing for the fireworks. The desserts were fabulous.

The viewing is ok - restaurant is extremely hot, crowded and dark. Desserts were not that great at all - warm and too many cream desserts.

The viewing was ok, but we won't be doing it again. You can get just as good viewing on the bridge between Tomorrowland and castle, as well as in Fantasyland and Tomorrowland. We've watched Wishes from a zillion different spots, so there are just as good viewing places around.

What date are they doing it till and any idea if they will extend it?

Has anyone been at the California Grill during the MNSSHP fireworks? If so, do they pipe in any music to go along with it? TIA

It's running until August 28th. And when I called to enquire today if it was being extended (we arrive on the 29th, naturally), the CM was really good. She checked several possible ways to find out, but wasn't able to book me anything. They have no notification (yet) that it will be extended. But she said she really wouldn't be surprised (FWIW).
