Wishes TinkerBell

When we watched wishes this year Tinkerbell flew down the zip line, but she wasnt leaving behind any pixiedust (sparks) .. I could have sworn that last year she had a trail of fireworks behind her. Did they stop doing that for safety reasons? it was perfect weather, no wind or anything. It looked better with the pixie trail though. Unless im imagining this.

We have seen it several times, but have never seen Tink.

When does she fly, and from where?

Tinkerbell flies off the the top of castle and heads to the right as you are facing the front of the castle (toward Tomorrowland). Just checked my video with a closeup of Tink.....no pixie dust (sparks)

My DH saw her in May '05 but I completely missed her. He tried to point her out but I still missed her. Obviously I didn't see any pixie dust.

No, no pixie dust, that would be a bit (more) dangerous, she flies by in seconds, i saw a light that was her..
Although in the day time, entering tommorow land, look up and towards the castle, and you can see the line that she flies on!

man thats weird, I need to look at last years wishes somewhere, b/c I really thought I saw sparks trailing her. If not, then I really must have a good imagination.

It depends on where you watch it from. I believe that if you are on the left side of the park (Liberty Square/Adventureland) it can appear that way, but the fireworks are far behind her in actuality.

My best advice for seeing Tink is to not tell anyone about it. It doesn't always happen, and it's not always easy to see. Weather even a bit off can stop it for safety reasons. So if you see it, it's an awesome surprise, and if you don't, Wishes! is still magical in and of itself.

If you want to get an idea of where she comes from and will appear, during the day look up at the front of the Castle. You will see a long magical black wire (that carries the force field that protects Tink during her flight from Stitch attacks) that goes from the upper part of the castle all the way to Tomorrowland. That's where she travels from when she does.

I have seen Wishes 4 times over the past few year and I have never noticed any Pixie Dust following her. It may have been something they did in the past that proved to be a safety hazard.

BTW, the absolute best place to see Tink is to watch Wishes from the bridge leading from the hub to Tomorrowland... there she flies right over your head... can't miss her!!

We haven't seen sparks either when we have seen Wishes. Tink usually appears for us about half the time.

hmmm...I didnt realize that Tink sparkled pixie dust...but I don't know how I will feel about sparks coming out of my bum...
