wishes / spectromagic question

We are going in March and Wishes is scheduled for 9pm each day except Wednesday 3/17 when it is scheduled for 8pm.

This earlier time would work out much better for us due to the kids' schedule but is it dark enough at 8pm in March for it?

Also, has anyone gone for the spectramagic and wishes on the same night? Is it too much?

I have dinner reservations at the Casle at 5:30 on 3/17. So I am thinking, we can see Spectramagic at 7pm after dinner and Wishes at 8pm. Can this work?

I would do it You are already there and Wishes is fantastic!!! We were there last week and it was at 7.00 and it was dark enough. Oh how I wish we were still there. However I am already planning our next trip You can grab a snack for between the the two for the little ones and sit back and enjoy.

We saw Spectro at 7pm and Wishes at 8pm. We planned it that way because other nights were all 8pm and 9pm. It worked out great. We left MK around 3pm that day for our "pool break" and then returned staking a claim on Main Street right in front of the castle. Spectro was really nice and ended around 7:25pm but WISHES was fantastic and a must see. For supper my husband got small pizzas at the restaurant at the entrance to Tomorrowland and they were actually pretty good. The time passed quickly. Take jackets, it gets cool at night and a blanket would help you stake your claim as well as being softer to sit on than the sidewalk.

Thanks. They now changed the time to 8pm and 9pm on the day we are going. I also read a lot of tips on this board for where to watch those shows but I still can't figure this out. My main concern is to find a good location where the kids can see. I even posted a new question about watching with kids.

Still, can you describe where you watched both events from?
Was your view ok? How much in advance did you get to your viewing area?

We walked along Main Street until we could see the entrance to Tomorrowland and were directly across from the castle (and there was handicap seating roped off directly in front of us across the street and I believe a popcorn type vendor was directly behind us.) We didn't get a spot right on the curb but we sat immediately behind the family on the curb. It was perfect viewing for both Spectro and Wishes. My son is 8 and he had no problem viewing either the parade or the fireworks. We really wanted to scope out ONE spot since we were staying for both events. I stayed, with jackets spread on the sidewalk to claim our spot, while my husband and son went and got pizza. We arrived one hour before the parade but you might want to allow more time if Spectro and Wishes are only shown a few times during your week.

Definately stay for Wishes, it was my second favorite of the evening events. My favorite was Fantasmic! We saw a lot of folks leave after Spectro but we enjoyed watching the castle subtly change colors prior to Wishes. It was fun just to people watch and relax. I had hoped to take my son for one more ride on Buzz Lightyear since we were so close to the ride but we opted not to and he was fine with that. I did bring along a glow stick from home and gave it to him to play with while we waited.

Wishes is very magical, much more than just fireworks. Enjoy!
