If you do a site visit, can your consultant give you an estimate on the cost of your wedding? Also, how many months out do you have your planning session (i.e. 8 months, 5 months)? How much is the deposit for the wishes wedding? Does all of the deposit money do towards the wedding? When go you receive your AP's?

Thanks!!!

When I went for my site visit she discussed cost with me but because certain things can't be locked in until 6 months out, the price is only a really rough estimate.

When you go for the site visit they give you this white folder with sample menus and bar packages so you have an idea of cost and also the ceremony rental fees.

I will probably be doing my planning session next summer, probably July or August. That would put it at 5 or 4 months out.

The deposit is $2000, I believe. $1k of it is put towards your wedding costs and the other $1k is held until after your wedding for any incidentals you happen to have during the day of. You will be refunded that money once your bill has been completely closed out. I don't know how long that takes but I'm sure it's something reasonable like a month.

Oh, and I"m ssory I didn't get you the info I promised on another thread, PM your email addy and when I get home today I'll email it to you.

Yes, but it is a rudimentary breakdown of only estimated prices - they don't know exactly how much your specific floral and decor or food or cake will cost at that point (and, of course, it doesn't include anything you aren't getting directly from Disney, like the officiant, cosmetology, license, etc.).

Also, how many months out do you have your planning session (i.e. 8 months, 5 months)?

As stated above, they can't guarantee pricing until 6 months out, so in the past they have steered you toward having a planning session 6 months or fewer before the event. However lately they have been more amenable to having them earlier than 6 months - with the caveat that prices are not set in stone.

When go you receive your AP's?

After you return your signed contract. You get vouchers, not active APs, which means you can activate them whenever you want to start your year's worth of admission.

You seem to have gotten answers already, but I just wanted to poke my nose in here and suggest Lurkyloo's book! It's hands-down awesome. A1. Perfect.

As per your questions, there are some amazing budget charts in the book that break everything down. I highly recommend it... and I know a lot of other DIS brides do too!! :goodvibes

you consultant can give you an estimate. We didn't do one, because we're doing so much custom there was no way it would be acurrate.

Planning Sessions are done anywhere between 6 months to 3 months before the wedding. They like to do them around the 4 to 5 month range.

The Deposit is $2000 $1000 going towards the final number and $1000 for overages (or it's returned to you)

Some say the APs come with the signed contract. I haven't asked since we'll have active passes for our upcoming trips that we'll put them in our fire safe for a future date.

hope this helps some.
