Wishes or Illuminations Cruise

have you been on one or the other? both? Which would you choose and why?

We just got back and my husband surprised us with the Wishes Cruise-it was really nice. The only problem is that the music is not plugged into the boat, so you can hear it faintly which was fine for us because we had seen it before. He wanted to do the Illuminations one but booked it too late. We will try Illuminations on the next trip.

I love Wishes so it will be hard to top that experience for me!

We did the Illuminations cruise a few weeks ago. It was wonderful! We were parked under the bridge between France & the UK. We had a great view of the middle of the lake - nothing was in the way of our view, no trees, no people, etc. We got some great photos, too! Plus one person with us commented about "how quickly we got out of EPCOT!" We have never done a Wishes cruise, so I cannot compare the two. Enjoy whichever cruise you shoose!

I was going to ask this same question!

I read on wdwig that someone had problems on the Illuminations cruise because of the smoke from the fireworks. They said the smoke and fumes were unbearable and they didn't enjoy it. Now I'm concerned about that.

Does anyone have any input about that??

We did Illuminations Friday nite on our last night at WDW. It was beautiful and I am so glad we did. WE were at Epcot on Thursday afternoon and night and it rained and rained and rained. We left around 8:30 soaking wet. Friday nite there were barely any clouds with a light breeze. It was perfect. We had no problem with smoke or fumes. We lucked out all around. Ron was our driver and was so much fun. You have to do this at least once.
