I need a new strategy for watching Wishes now that the Dessert Party has doubled in price (too expensive for my family of 5). In the past ( before we stared doing the dessert party)
we always used to watch from the Rose Garden but
1. now from what I understand is that it's a reserved area for FP+ so now not sure where would be a good spot to view Wishes that is not too crowded that I don't have to camp out 1hr+ before (we used to arrive 30-45 min before)?
2. Also would you do Wishes and MSEP the same night or on different nights (we will have two nights in MK)?
Wishes is at 10 and there are two MSEP 9 & 11.
1. Not a FP viewing spot anymore.
But, it's now actually worse... as there is no more rose garden.
2. You have left out the THIRD evening spectacular at MK...
"Celebrate the Magic" is a show that is projected on the castle facade and is considered by
many to be more original, spectacular, exciting and fun than Wishes or MSEP.
CtM begins 15 min. before Wishes, and (on some nights, likely on the nights with MSEP at 9 & 11) it plays again at about 10:20pm.
I'd recommend grabbing a spot along the street in or near the Hub with a clear view of the castle to see all three events.
On an "average" night, I'd try for that spot at least 60-90 minutes before the start of MSEP.
By loading those three events following each other and requiring a clear castle view...
Disney has created a bottleneck of epic proportion.
Below is a "work-in-progress" of my overview of the new Hub. Some of the "outer" sidewalks shown have not been built yet. Some of the unfinished areas have since been finished. The original photo is by Scott Keating, posted on WDWMagic.
