Wishes Holiday Dessert party (or not)?

I just booked this for mom & I for 12/11. She'll be in a scooter and it's nice not having to deal with the crowds and worry about people standing right in front of her! Expensive though!!! Almost the same price as the MVMCP! So I am really thinking about if it is worth the extra $$$ for this. But while there was still a reservation available I booked it. We can always cancel it up to 5 days before the party and get a refund! So if we change our mind that is good to know!!! We did attend a regular dessert party last year and really enjoyed having a table and not fighting the crowds!!! We could see perfectly from sitting at the table!!

Following this also. I think it might be a really nice thing to do (though I'd be the type to show up at 7:30 for the parade, lol). Just worried about what the fireworks view is really like from where it is given the 360 fireworks. The parade viewing area seems great and what a way to feel really special. We are doing Ohana at 3:30 so 5 hours later might be hungry for dessert, lol.

Lol I'm worried about the same thing regarding the view of the fireworks... I was hoping they would let us sit by the old FP area for fireworks?! I know it was not available last year but since they took off the FP+ and it's an area reserved for regular wishes dessert party I heard... I doubt but I can't help but hope!

Most regular dining reservations are 1 day. But in making the reservation it did say 5 days. and the below quote is from my confirmation email I received for the Holiday dessert Party..

"Cancel
- There is a 5 Day cancellation policy. Full price will be charged/forfeited if canceling within 5 Days or no show of the reservation. "

Isn't the fireworks view the same as the Wishes Fireworks Dessert Party? It's the same location.

there are some earlier blog posts that say they give you the option of going out into the old FP+ location, which I think is a better spot to watch it from.

We won't go until Dec 6th so that's AWESOME! I was so excited when I saw reservations for this were open - I went ahead and booked, then was having buyers remorse, but now I'm looking forward to it. We also have a 5:00 ADR booked at BOG, but I'm thinking I would cancel that and just do an earlier QS dinner.

Let me know if you cancel that BOG ADR....seriously!

it is early parade viewing. the dessert party starts at 8:30 but if you read the "know before you go" section it says to meet at 7:30 for the parade.

I am attending MVMCP for the benefits of shorter line to rides, special character M&G and of course the holiday parade, firework and show. Although the the party provides special viewing areas but sound like it will take away a chuck of time from other activities we like to do too. Am I correct?

The parade viewing area opens at 7:30. So, if you are there the entire time start to finish, 7:30-10:30ish I would assume. It will take away a huge chunk of time.
