We've never eaten at the California Grill before, so this year we were thinking of trying it.

How do you work it so you can view Wishes?

What time should I make the reservation?

Do you have to ask for a seat in a certain section or by a window?

:confused3 :confused3 :confused3

I'll share the way we did it...
Our ressie was too early for Wishes, but since we had eaten there that evening, they allowed us to leave, then come back up and view the show from either inside the restaurant, or out on the balcony where people view the fireworks. We did both...it was really too cold and windy to be outside for long, and the music is heard inside the restaurant as well. The staff was quite accomodating as we arranged ourselves in a good viewing area near the windows (we were not seated at a table).
Bottom line, you don't have to eat during the fireworks...just come back later if you wish.

Our ressies at the Contemporary were at 7:30, perfect for watching wishes at 9:30. :wizard:

So, if Wishes is at 10:00 in June, would an 8:00 reservation be good?
Can you request a window table? :confused3

You can't be guaranteed a window table. You can ask, but that does not mean you will get one.

California Grill has an outdoor observation deck that overlooks the Magic Kingdom. If you don't get a table before the show, or if you get one without a view, you can go out to the deck to watch. They play the music out there.
