wishes from fantasyland

I'm planning one night at MK for us to ride some rides instead of watching wishes. If my kids want to watch them tho what are the crowds like behind the castle? sorry if its a weird question I'm sure some people stop and watch them once they start so thats why i ask i realize it won't be the best viewing but they have seen them a lot and we have a few more nights that we can watch them. I've read a few times its a good time to get some rides in.

Last year in Feb we happened to see them from behind the castle - there was really no one else back there - my kids were dancing along to the music - lol. It wasn't the best place to see them - but we were in MK for 3 nights that trip so we decided to ride rides while the fireworks were going on. Great time to ride BTW

Can I ask what the queues are like in Fantasyland at this time as I had been thinking about doing this?

My husband and I along with our grandkids (8yo and 6yo) caught Wishes from behind the castle last May. We were closer to Maurice's Cottage going towards the Village area. It was a great impromptu stop for the fireworks... almost like watching them "in the round". The kids did not care that they were missing the projections on the castle. (We did see Wishes on our last night, at the Wishes Dessert Party!!) And there were NO crowds.

I agree. We caught Wishes in Fantasyland, right in front of Gaston's Tavern. With the exception of some CMs, we were alone.
One thing to note tho, it is incredibly loud from that area.

No no I don't mind!! Ive been wondering this for some time now it's a good idea to me!!
