I'm thinking of changing one of my fps to wishes. From another thread on here, I was reading that it was a really nice place to watch it where people aren't on top of you. I'm going the first week in August. I have a claustrophobic daughter so think it might be a decent idea.

I just wanted to be sure that it isn't people on top of each other . Where do you go for fast pass spot?

Also is Disney website the best place for park maps? Or is there another site that's better. I want to print one out before we go.

I have never gotten a fast pass for the wishes parade but I think that sounds like a great option for your daughter! I always watch the fireworks from a little pathway that is hidden away between main street and tomorrowland. I will be there in 22 days! Our trips will overlap! I hope you have a magical trip and let's pray for good weather!

Wishes is not a parade.
It is the MK fireworks show.

1. I just wanted to be sure that it isn't people on top of each other .

2. Where do you go for fast pass spot?

3. Also is Disney website the best place for park maps?

1. Recent reports say that the Wishes FP+ areas (there are two) are not over-crowded.

2. See the deep purple shaded areas in my Hub map below.

3. There are a lot of places on-line to view the park maps.
Just Google for them.

Below is a "work-in-progress" of my overview of the new Hub. Some of the "outer" sidewalks shown have not been built yet. Some of the unfinished areas have since been finished. The original photo is by Scott Keating, posted on WDWMagic.

Also the I know that the Disney site has great interactive maps that you can play around with. I am sure you can print those.

Thanks everyone. Thanks for the map..!
Is the castle changing all part of Wishes ? Or is it just the fireworks? What would be the best arrival time?

Ashley, you have a magical time too!!

1. There is a completely separate (and SPECTACULAR) castle projection show
that is not part of Wishes. It is called "Celebrate the Magic" and begins 15 minutes before Wishes. It can be viewed from the Wishes FP+ area.

2. Also, DURING Wishes, the castle has colors, shapes, and images projected on it in addition to and in sync with the fireworks.

3. Some guests arrive at the Wishes FP+ viewing area by 2 hours before Wishes.
I think, however, that arriving by 30-40 minutes before Wishes will do the trick.

The time on the Wishes FP for 10pm show is 9:35-9:55. So yes, you can watch the castle show from there too.

I watched on the side in front of the plaza. We went on a night before Memorial weekend. We stayed towards the BACK of the section and there was plenty of
space. It might be more filled as you get towards the front.

Don't know about the map.
ETA: we arrived about 25 minutes early. It felt late, but for our particular night it was fine. Especially since I wanted to be towards the back.
