How long after the official start of Wishes do the fireworks start? Also, how long do the fireworks last? I'd like to time it so I ride Big Thunder Mountain during Wishes. Wishes is suppose to start at 10:00 PM that day. Thanks!

Baring some delay, the show will start at the listed time. Are you asking about the length of the introduction (where the narrator is talking and there aren't any bursts)? You can probably watch a YouTube video of the fireworks to see when the first burst appears relative to when the lights on Main Street dim. Still, I don't think it's much more than a minute or so.

1. Er, immediately. That's what Wishes is.

2. Twelve minutes sounds right to me. I would not disagree with the PP here. ;)

Ok, yes, I was thoroughly confused. I thought they played some movie on the castle and then did fireworks afterwards. Thanks everyone!

That is Celebrate the Magic and generally occurs about 15 minutes before Wishes' scheduled time. I'm not sure calling it "some movie" does it much justice, though--it's pretty darn cool.

"Celebrate the Magic" (the castle projection show) starts about 15 minutes before the scheduled start of Wishes.

YES! Ok, glad I got that sorted out. So Celebrate the Magic (aka "some movie") at 9:45 PM and then Wishes (the actual fireworks part) at 10 PM. You guys are the best! And I hope I didn't offend! :thumbsup2:thumbsup2:thumbsup2

No, of course not. Just want you to think of it as something more. :goodvibes

Follow up: if you have FP viewing seats for MSEP, how long after it passes you will Celebrate the Magic start?

MSEP and Wishes are not always a fixed amount of time apart. Figure MSEP will completely pass the FP viewing area about 20-25 minutes after its official start time, and CtM about 15 minutes before Wishes start time.

I was just able to get a BOG reservations for 9/22 at 9:15.
Wishes starts at 9pm. Do you think we can watch the whole Wishes show and make it to BOG in time?
Do they give you a 15min grace period?

1. If not "on time," certainly within an acceptable time.

2.That, and more.
