Wishes every night! July 19 to August 2 (Updated: October 17)Completed

We slowly started walking towards Main Street. We were wondering if we'd make it, or if it would start to rain again.

We made a final stop at the "Confectionary" where we bought Peannut Brittle, and cotton candy.

We decided to get back to the hotel using the monorail. The sky was starting to look threatening.

Here are pictures I took from the station.

We soon got back to the hotel. Let me tell you that I love the fact that you get off the monorail inside the hotel.

We hung out around the hotel, and the pool.

We ate dinner: Flatbread, chicken ceasar salad, chicken rice soup, and chocolate cake.

I took the opportunity to mail a package to my BFF. The necklace and the pin I had previously bought.

I got back to the room just in time to watch "Big Brother". Yes I am addicted. And I am really sad that my dvr decided not to record this past thursday's episode.

We then discovered a great tv show:"Drop Dead Diva". We watched all the episodes that aired so far, and it was great. Sadly, we don't get it here :( I'll just have to wait and buy the DVD.

I then watched the fireworks with the great holographic glasses, and went to bed.

My headache was still there, so I decided not to go to bed too late.

Great Trip Report! I love the view you guys had at the CR. It sucks that it was soooo hot. I know how you feel :(. Anyway just wanted to say great photos and great TR.

TTYL

Thank you!

I still dream about that view.

Before we left for the trip, we had dreams of spending afternoons reading on the balcony. Sadly, that did not happen.

It was too hot in the afternoon on the balcony, and the shade was on the pool side, not the MK view in the afternoon :)

Yea that is true. Well at least you had a perfect view and you got to see Wishes every night lol. How much did you pay for the room? I would love to have the MK view when I stay at CR.

I'd gave to check the documents. I have to say that my parents helped me pay for the trip :)

Still following you...how great your Main St. ressies worked out so well!

Yummy chocolate croissants at the CR--they helped us use up our snack credits as we were leaving.

Loved your photos from the station of the monorail and CR.

OK WHERE is that exposition hall?!?! I've looked for it on Main Street EVERY SINGLE time and I cannot find it to save my life! I even asked a CM and they looked at me like I had 2 heads! Please help me!! lol!

Great update by the way! Glad y'all didn't get soaked!

OMG Christy! That has to be the cutest kitten I have ever seen!! I LOVE HIM! And I love his name! Excellent choice!

Great pics of the MK! I love that you and your mom dance to the music of the stage show! :thumbsup2 It sounds like you really lucked out with the rain, too!

Great update!:thumbsup2

OH, and I'm obsessed with Big Brother too! There is a thread on the Community board that I LOVE going to because some DISers have the live feeds and I can find out who's nominated and who won POV almost immediately! :thumbsup2

Okay, when you enter the MK on the right side, you walk under the train tracks and it's the FIRST building on your right!

It's the building in this picture, right next to Tony's!

Great pics BTW! It doesn't seem like there are too many people watching the show in front of the castle. How were the crowds?? It looks like you had your Plaza meal timed perfectly! ;)

Like Nikki said. Same building as Toni's. It's in the back. You go past all the Kodak exhibit, and it's in the back on your right.

Thats good. And look where it got you? Its soo worth it. lol. I hope you had fun besides the heat.

I know. I love my parents to death. I will never forget that room.

And yes, we did have loads of fun :)

Your new kitten is super cute!
Thanks. He's what we needed.

Nope. The crowd was manageable.

It was perfect timing hehe

Great update! I love the chocolate croissants...I had one almost every morning we were there (that's why I volunteered to go to OPR every morning to fill our mugs...I had to have my chocolate croissants!). I wanted to go to Exposition Hall on this trip but never made it...I had planned on going to do my DD's BBB pictures but she didn't want to do the pictures so we never made it. I'll add it to the list for our next trip!

mmm chocolate....

Sorry it's taking my a while to do the rest.

School started. And I had a huge day yesterday. We had so much meetings that I didn't have time to plan anything. I only had time to buy the materials.

Then yesterday I was supposed to do 1 period, and ended up doing 4. I'm sooooooo tired.

I'll do one soon.

Sorry school's so hectic! Hope it gets better soon!!

Ok so I've been in that building looking for this very thing! Can I just go back there? I guess because it was so desserted last time, I figured I wasn't allowed back there! lol ok I know where it's at now thanks!!! :thumbsup2

It is sometimes "closed" for events. They close off the curtain.

But it's on the back. Look for the "political stand" I put a picture of, and it's on the right.

I'll update soon.

Right now I'm lesson planning.

If you have msn, msg me your addy and we can chat while I do that hehe

Monday, July 27
Temp: 93 F Cloudy

That morning, my dad said he wanted to stay in the room again. So my mom and I did not know what to do right away. I went downstairs to the Contempo Cafe, and got myself coffee, chocolate milk, a croissant, and a strawberry yogourt. It was all pretty good, except the yogourt. It tasted so artificial. It left an after taste, you know? So after I was done eating, I went back to the room so my mom and I could decide what to do that do.

Epcot was to be our destination.

We took the monorail to the TTC, then the monorail to Epcot.

When we got there, we decided to skip Future World. We didn't feel like going through it. We went straight to world showcase.

We normally start with Canada, but this time I said we should start with Mexico.

As we got to Norway, I decided to go look into the little bakery. I wasn't sure if "School Bread" was sold in Norway, or Germany. Well, my hunch served me right.

I ordered one, and my mom and I split it.

It was soooooooooooooo good!:cloud9:

I did not regret it. And I am still dreaming about it.

So with our bellies full, we set out to shop in Germany, and Italy. No luck. Nothing really appealed to us enough to buy it.

So we slowly made our way to my favorite shop of all.....Japan.

On our way, it started raining. Luckily, we had our umbrellas this time.

Of course I bought something there.

I love "Hello Kitty". Ok, I never read or watched anything "Hello Kitty", but I love the imagery!

I bought elastic hair holders, and a notepad.

We then went to the France bakery, and ate lunch.

We both had ham and cheese croissants. My dessert was cheesecake, and my mom's was a chocolate mousse. It was excellent, as usual.

We then shopped a bit in France. Remember that I'm an art teacher. And I love flip books. I only have 3 for now, but everytime I see a good quality one, I buy it.

Well I found this "Degas" one in the France shop. I was so excited. It was the only one on the shelf, and I looooooooveee this painter.

We then looked through the shops in England. I always love all the Beatles stuff, but never buy any. Go figure.

By that point, we were starting to get tired, and were pretty much done with World showcase.

Our last stop was Mouse Gears.

I mostly bought things for my dad for Christmas. I got him a Mexican Donald, and a Donald pen. You know the pens that look like the ones from staples with the "hair". And I got myself a Demi Lovato cd. I really like her songs.

wdw2009part2095.jpg

We then made our way back to the hotel.

Let me tell you that when you are tired, the hill you have to "climb" to get to the monorail is really bad. We were soooooooo exhausted, and it seemed painful.

We got to the hotel, and my dad was getting tired of being in the room. But he was not 100%. Only thing he wanted to do was eat. So we had an eatly dinner.

We had Alfredo pasta (can you tell I really liked it?), My dad had a burger, and my mom a chicken ceasar salad.

By then, my headache had grown. I was taking Advils, but they did not seem to do the trick. So I decided to call it a night (kinda early like around 8 or 8) in hopes my headache would disapear.

Tuesday, July 28
Weather: Sunny 97F SO HOT! :sad2:

That morning, I woke up early, and saw my dad was up. He really wanted to get out.

So we made it to the Magic Kingdom for opening. Well we thought we would. But it turned out there were EMH that morning. I did not even take the time to eat. I decided that I'd go to the Main Street bakery later on.

We let my mom relax, and she was set to meet us at "Toni's" for our reservation.

We walked all the way back to Fantasyland, and I introduced my dad to the joy of this land at opening. It was as quiet as I remembered it. So nice.

As we walked to "It's a Small world", it was a walk-on. So my dad said:Let's go!

So we did this ride once again.

Then, I wanted to see "Philarmagic". It was also a walk-on. I was happy!!! :cloud9: Boy I love that movie!

Then, I suggested we go to "Pirates of a Carribean".

On our way, I snapped a few pics of the skyway building.

We finally got to "Pirates". And guess what???

It was also a walk-on!!!

wdw2009part2006.jpg

As we exited,we walked towards Frontierland, and I my dad saw the boat. He had never done it. So I indulged him, and we took a boat ride. I have to say that I normally skip it, but it was nice. It was relaxing, and a fun change of pace.

By that time, my dad decided that I needed to eat something. It was between 10am, and 11am.

So I told him I NEEDED to go to the bakery. Nowhere else.

So I got a frozen latte, and an apple turnover. I wanted to get each one of us a turnover, but my dad said it was so big, we should split it. So we did. Well let me tell you, we should have gotten two. :rotfl: They were so good!

We then tried walking a bit, and the little boy inside my dad wanted to ride the train again. So we did an entire tour. He loved it, as usual.

I then introduced him to the "Carousel of Progress", and he (like me) really like it. It has a little "je ne sais quoi". You either love it, or hate it. But we love it. hehe Maybe it's the fact that is air conditionned?
