Wishes dessert party.

Hi,

I don't hold out much hope but I am going to try and book an ADR for the wishes dessert party at Easter. Can I just ask, how busy it is leaving the park after the fireworks? Can we hang around til the crowds disperse? Or will we be stuck in massive queues for the monorail?

Or is there a better/quieter spot to watch away from the park?

You can hang around until the crowds disperse however they are really strict on closing the monorail one hour after park closing.

Last night we were on the last monorail back from Epcot and were in the queue at 9.45pm then got the last resort monorail at 10.15 which didn't pick up at MK which also closed at 9 and we got off at the contemporary which was the last stop for the night.

However at easter...the parks are open much later. Last time we went over easter the park shut 1 hour after the fireworks and the monorails one hour after that

Watching Wishes from the Poly is nice.

Another good place to watch Wishes from is the ferry jetty at TTC.
We once left the park after the parade as we had already seen the fireworks once that trip a couple of days before and had an almost empty ferry back to TTC. As we disembarked Wishes was just starting and the music was being piped direct to the jetty.
It was a really good place to watch from - although I probably wouldn't suggest it to anyone who is seeing Wishes for the first time. For that you have to be in the park

I don't think that dates for April will be available yet. The Dec dates haven't been available all that long and it's only about 3 weeks ago that I could book dates for our Nov trip! So I wouldn't worry!

Thanks everyone, yes, watched Wishes from the park and also from the CG so just wanting to do something a bit different and also try and avoid the Easter crowds

I guess we could book a meal at the Poly and then watch from the beach although DH is not a great fan of Disney restaurants at the mo but I thought I might be able to twist his arm if there is a large quantity of chocolate cake involved at the Dessert doodah!

Catherine - didn't realise that ADR's for the WDP were not released at the same time as all other ADR's?!?! I'll keep my eye out for April dates then!

we did the Wishes party Easter 2011. It was the Tuesday before Easter ... they didn't try and hurry us out but it was our first full day and we were knackered so headed off. It was so busy they'd opened a side gate and were ushering people out behind main street.

I don't remember queuing for ages for the monorail (although I am naughty and always use the resort monorail when its busy - no one knows you're going to the TTC)
