Wishes Dessert party

Ok! So I am waiting to book the dessert party for December but they haven't been released yet. Did they have this last year? I don't know because I didn't do it? Any ideas as when it should open up? TIA!

I don't know how they post it, but we got it by luck for our August 28th trip.(Cant wait) My wife dutifully kept her eye on the website so we could make reservations for this elusive dessert party. On day it was on the Website, and she immediately called and they said it was booked solid from Aug 18th to the 28th. My wife called a couple of days later to make reservations at one of thier wonderful restaurants, and upon completing the reservation, when they asked if they could help with anything else, she mentioned the dessert party. We were suprised when they said it wasnt open yet. My wife checked the site, and lo and behold, it was no longer listed. She kept her eyes on the site to see if it would open back up, but never did, but once again while making a reservation for another wonderful restaurant, when they asked if there was any thing else they could do for us, she once again mentioned the dessert party, and almost fell over when they said sure, when would you like to attend. Needless to say, we got the reservation, and the August times opened up like the second week of June, I believe. That would make it about 60 days prior to our departure. Also note, I believe the dessert party may be a seasonal thing, so I encourage you to keep trying. That is what paid off for us. But December with the Christmas shows etc., the dessert party might not be available. But available or not, there are tons of other things that might grab your interest at Disney, especially around that special time of the year. ENJOY YOUR TRIP, <Haperian>

Yea we go every year around the same time but have never done the dessert party. See... and I called the other day and they said it was completely booked and its showing up on the website but completely full. And I just called a few minutes ago and they told me it wasn't available yet? Weird... I will keep trying though. If not its ok... still lots to do! Plus I booked the Wishes Fireworks cruise so that will be awesome!

There is Wishes Dessert Party thread and they are still waiting for Oct to be released.... Sept was released on July 13th....
Check with the thread since there are others checking multiple times just like you and that helps....

I waited what seemed like forever to get mine booked. We are going on Monday night...I started looking in the winter...called and called...check the website numerous times and finally it opened up for 8/1 on Memorial Day weekend. Just keep at it and you will get the reservation. This is our first time for the dessert party!!! Cant wait!

I spoke with a very knowledgeable CM about this last weekend. She told me that historically (at least for this year), the dessert party ADRs have opened up about 6 weeks prior to the beginning of the month you're looking to book. So for December that would be mid October. She also told me that they tend to fill up very quickly when they do open, so your best bet is to keep an eye on it!
