We will be at the World 10/24-10/30. While I would love to attend MNSSHP, my girls (ages 3 & 5) are toast by 9-10pm and grumps the next day. We went camping in our local park last night and that was exactly what happened.

My plan as of now is to be at MK on 10/27 to watch Wishes on a regular night. I'm considering making a ressie for the Dessert Party to make it a little extra special.

Or...do we attempt MNSSHP? My girls would enjoy seeing all the characters, but I think they would only make the first 2-3 hours of the party. It might be a moot point as many of the parties that week may be sold out. I haven't checked availablity yet.

Any advice?

I have been trying for a month to get ressies for Oct 18-27 for Wishes Dessert Party with no luck. If your able to get a ressie let me know!!

I think at this point you would be more likely to get MNSSHP tickets then the dessert party tickets. Personally between the two I would go to the MNSSHP with young children. Work your way into staying up a little later and getting up a little later so by the time of the party they would have a little more staying up power. Especially on the MNSSHP day. Have a stroller for both so as they do crash they have a comfy place to be. Plan for a late morning and slow the next day.

I vote for MNSSHP as well. We went to the 9/14 party with our 3 and 5 year olds and they loved it. We had an easy day at the resort swimming and relaxing. They both actually took a nap for us in the afternoon. They dont usually nap anymore, but we told them if they wanted to go trick or treating with Mickey they had to close their eyes and rest for a while. It worked and they both fell asleep for over 2 hours. We woke them up at 3 and headed to the park, arriving at 4. From 4-6 we did rides, then ate counter service at 6 so when the party started at 7 we let them trick or treat a few places, and ride a few rides. At 745ish we headed to frontier town to get a spot for the parade. They ate some candy while we waited and we watched the 815 parade. when it was over they did more trick or treating and rides then we saw the fireworks at 930. At that point we were prepared to leave, but they were still happy and wanted to stay so we actually stayed until 11:30! It was a great time, even if you leave after the fireworks, it still gives you over 5 hours in the park and you will see the best 2 parts of the party (the parade and fireworks are not to be missed!) Also, my kids love the character dance partys! Dancing with donald and pluto is a rare opportunity.

Thanks everyone. There is a spot for the Dessert party open on that night, I haven't checked MNSSHP availablity for the week yet, but will tonight.

I agree that the character interaction sounds wonderful! We may have to shuffle some things around to make the Halloween party work :thumbsup2

I would vote for MNSSHP vs the dessert party. At their ages the dessert party is alright but not near as cool as MNSSHP!

Take the day slow, sleep in and head out to the MK later after a rest. They will have the best time dressing up, seeing the parade and trick or treating! And Hallowishes is the best Wishes we have ever seen! So awesome!!!!!!!!

I vote for party...my son loved it and still talks about it. He was 2 1/2 when he went and had a blast. He had a 3 hour nap that day (we went swimming in the morning). He stayed up until 11:00.
