Hey We just got back from Disney last week. I was lucky enough to do the wishes dessert party here is what I thought.

We walked up @ our 8:20 reservation time though i am pretty sure you could have gone a little early but we snuck in Monsters Inc. laugh factory 1st hehe
They checked our name and gave us all a green bracelet.

We were seated in our reserved table with a beautiful view of the castle:cloud9: The Tables our VERY CLOSE together I had to ask the women seated next to me to move in a bit as I couldn't get into my seat at all. That said they did not over book tables as I have read before IMO.

The desserts were so plentiful!!!!!! I was pleased with that as I heard that there was not enough to go around and also that you could only go up once (SO NOT TRUE). They even had a huge amount of leftovers.

My fav was prob the chocolate covered strawberries but they had an ice cream sundae bar, brownies, cookies, fresh fruit, moose, some orange cream shot, banana choc things all types of yummy goodness.

Beverages were coffee, tea, lemonade, milk and water.

I went up at least 5 times

The only thing I have read that I STRONGLY disagree with is that there is a great view of the fireworks from every eat and you do not need to get up.
Very untrue while you have a great view of the castle the fireworks are sent up over the right side of the castle. We were seated near the entrance so the overhang covered the view but no biggie we got up and watched the wonderful display.

Just incase you were wondering....

Heather

Glad to hear you enjoyed it. We did too- we keep hearing so much negative, but we'll definitley do it again.:cool1:

Awesome! We are debating whether or not to do this, we have a 11 and a will-be-2 year old, I really want to do this, I think it will be great, but am concerned about the no seats, would be nice to sit after all that chocolate and a very long day. Can you move your chairs to get a good view??

You can certainly move your chairs around by your table, but IIRC you cannot take the table chairs up to the railing. I can understand that; it would make a terrible obstacle course for anyone with a wheelchair or ECV. Or for a CM trying to carry a tray full of empty plates, for that matter.

You may or may not need to move up; totally depends on where your table is. We went last year and my view was slightly obstructed but the blister I had developed on one toe insisted that I was sitting down whether I could see or not. We went again this year and our table had a great view of both MM&Y and the fireworks.

How much does this cost & can I do reservation on the same website as when I make the adrs?

#1 Cost varies with the season but it runs around $25/person (adults).

#2 Yes, on-line or by calling.
a. reservations are immediately charged against your credit card.
b. reservations do not open at the normal 180-day window. They have
been opening *about* 2 months in advance.

It cost us $62 for 2 adults and 1 child. I also asked my travel agent and the front desk if you tip for this and they said no it was included FYI.

Did this in June. DD was talking about it just tonight! Agree w/ another post. PLenty of desserts to go around, no limit on the trips back to get more food. We had great seats! The earlier you get your ressie the better the seating is what I've read.
Our big problem was the fireworks were delayed for almost 2 hours due to storms; the castle lights did finally show after a little delay. We finally gave up and went to ride SM after the lighting of the castle and the desserts and drinks were cleared before the fireworks went off :sad2:
The best part was after getting off SM and walking back to leave the park, we were cutting through the terreance and they announced the fireworks were begin in 5 min. We had the place to ourselves:cool1:
Would I do it again? Possibly. Even Disney can't control the weather. This was a treat for DD and DH this trip, and we all did enjoy ourselves.

Sounds awesome. Question about the ice cream bar.. is it an ice cream machine and then extra toppings you can add yourself? DH is a super picky eater but one thing he will eat is plain vanilla ice cream so I'm excited that he'll actually have something there to eat :) It's too bad about having to get up and claim a spot by the railing to actually get a good view. I hope we are able to get a spot with 2 young kids. Thanks for the report back :)

We were at the Dessert Party last Saturday night. I would definitely do it again. We had a table in the front (we were 3rd on the list in making reservations according to the CM) and our table wasn't crowded at all. All of the CM's told us that we could move to the railing when the fireworks began for a better view. We did move closer but other parties stayed in their seats. I was expecting everyone at the railing to be fighting for spots but that was not the case at all. There was plenty of room for everyone - with breathing room on either side of our party!

Plenty of yummy desserts! Loved the ice cream bar, the choc covered strawberries and the fresh fruit!

This is so good to hear. We are booked for 2 dessert parties in November. This will be our first time attending and DD(16) and I are really looking for ward to it. We'll be there during Thanksgiving week and with the crowds thought it would be nice to be able to enjoy a great view of the fireworks and the yummy desserts ;)

Yay, can't wait! We will be going Oct 9th and I can't wait. This is our first night of our trip and I am so excited!:cool1:
