I'm on with a CM now. She said they extended it through January yesterday, but can't find anything for the entire month I'm there. That is crazy!

There would have been a great big thread on here if they'd actually extended it through January. I haven't seen one. WDW-DINE phone agents are often not the greatest sources of information. Rumors are they plan to do it. Maybe it's in the system but they can't book them yet.

That's what I thought, but she made it sound like she was booking it all day yesterday, but was surprised that nothing was left. I even tried going from a Table for 4 to a table of 2, leaving out my youngest son and our friend that we are staying with, and yet there was still nothing.

Called back and this CM said that yes, it has been extended and she searched all the non-party nights and had no luck, either. She didn't even know it had been extended and was surprised to see it in the system.

Mary

This new CM did find a few openings but they are all on MVMCP nights. Unfortunately, I'm not buying tickets to a party so...

Your credit card gets charged at the time of booking. You can get a refund within 48 hours or so, if you have to cancel.

Do you pay for this in advance? Or is this a hold and you pay when you get there?

You pay in advance. We did the party in Auguest. It was No big deal. It was not the best place to watch the fireworks from. The desserts were ok But not great. I would not do it again. Give it a try, But know what you are paying for. :thumbsup2

Good luck

I just called (407) WDW-DINE and as of today, the Dessert Party has only been extended until October 31st. :wizard:

Since we are visiting in November/December and are VERY interested in this party, I will keep checking on an extension of the dates. :thumbsup2

OK, I'm calling back and getting a manager on the phone. I could have made reservations for the 13th or the 19th of November this morning except they were party nights. So the CMs are either confused or someone didn't get the memo.

Did the CM on the phone misunderstand November for October?????? If not, it could easily be the latter (The CMs didn't get the memo.). However, you are NOT able to book it online at this time either. I assume they WILL extend it. It's a moneymaker. However, it has not been announced/released yet.

Please let me know what the Manager says. Thanks! :wizard:

The CM talked with a manager and they did extend it, but they haven't officially notified the CMs yet and may not have entered all the dates into the system yet. The CM is talking with Dining Help and I'm on hold. She is still waiting, but the help guy told her he thought it was a mistake that it was even loaded for some dates, yet.

UPDATE: She said it's unofficial, none of the dates are suppose to be in the system and no one knows to reserve. HELP was completely shocked that it was in at all, so I imagine they are either going to remove the dates that are in there or get the rest in there soon. They are suppose to be contacting the CMs immediately to tell them NOT to book any party night parties since they shouldn't be in the system yet.

So, we wait and call back tomorrow to see if the decided it would be easier to just get the non-party dates in there and open it up for reservations. That's at least better than thinking it had opened yesterday and was already sold out for the entire time.

I updated post #12 with the complete information she gave me. The Help guy told her NOT to book any dates, even for party nights, because it wasn't officially be extended yet and something might change.

I just got off the phone with Dining and tried to get a reservation for the Dessert Party. She told me they are only offering the party on nights of the MVMCP. I'm sooo disappointed. I'm going to keep trying once in a while to see if they change that.

I just called the Disney line 3 times, spoke to 3 different CM's and all three said they are not booking the party past October 1st...they said it has not been extended

I just booked for November 19th. This is a MVMCP date, but that's the party we plan on attending.

I just called again, told the CM it was for a party night only and asked her to check with her manager and she came back on the line and booked it for me...so excited for our Dec trip! First we are staying GL CL RPC (dream resort stay) and now we are going to the dessert party WOO HOO!

:scared1: So, on top of paying a premium for the party, they want people to dish out more money for the Dessert Party? Are they crazy????? If smart, they would offer it on NON-PARTY nights as an alternative for people not willing to fork over the insane amount of money for the party. I will keep checking back too. I assume they WILL offer it on non-MVMCP AND MVMCP nights too. Why wouldn't they do that??? It is more money for them. :thumbsup2 However, during MVMCP our kids eat so many cookies, we don't need more sweets. :confused3 So, if it is only offered on MVMCP nights, we won't be booking. :sad2:
