The title really sums it up.

We did the party last night (NYE) at 5:30 for the Holiday Wishes show. We did the party about a year and a half ago, so we weren't going in blind. I was hoping the "new enhancements" would change my mind, but I'm not sure what those enhancements are other than a tablecloth and a ugly lantern.

The desserts weren't bad, but they weren't good either. When you pay $50 for a dessert buffet, but then walk through the park past much better desserts selling for $2-5, you can't help but feel ripped off a bit. The ice cream sundaes are a joke. Would it kill them to throw in a freezer of Mickey bars or a churro or two? The "sparkling toast" was a glass of warm and nearly flat sparkling apple cider.

Quite honestly, the ambiance was worse this time than last. The restaurant behind was open, so we got the luxury of listening to a family above argue over their burgers and fries. Last time we went, there were less tables but all were full. This time time there were tables almost all the way to the railing, but half weren't used. I guess this makes it so they can seat parties on the fly. In the past we've had a name card on our table, this time we did not. They had a backup at the hostess stand while they scurried around trying to find a tablecloth for a table for another party. Really?

I really can't believe I paid this much for the dessert buffet. I don't mind "paying for the experience," but for the price it needs to be at least a little better than say, Chef Mickey's dessert bar. At least at Chef Muckeys I can get regular food too.
