Yup, the whole month opens up at once. May opened LATE in the afternoon instead of early in the morning like most of the reservations. GOOD LUCK getting one for your Birthday!!! I hope it works out for you!!!

Normally the entire month does open up all at once but there have been instances when that has not happened in the past. Very busy and very popular dates July 3 & 4 for instance opened up after the rest of the month of July and also if memory is serving me correctly possibly Dec 31. Also on at least one occasion only the first week of a month was loaded then the following day the remainder of the month became bookable.

Once again there is no set rules with the Dessert Party. Recently the first Tuesday of the month seems to be the day to watch and as others have mentioned noontime or later.

Don't forget, the Magic Kingdom shows their Fourth of July fireworks show on July 3rd as well. That is when we went to the dessert party in 2009 and it was wonderful! I'm sure you have your reasons for wanting the fourth, but I thought I'd share that reminder just in case you don't get your first choice. It might be a good back up date

I actually did not know this. Definitely something to keep in mind.

My best friend is coming in for 10 days from Melbourne, Australia so I think she was more wanting it to be the 4th cause it's our nations birthday and all ..but if for some reason the 4th sells out, it's a good thing to have in mind. Thanks for telling me, I greatly appreciate it!

July 3rd won't work for us since we have an Illuminations cruise booked for that night.

I actually didn't realize that you could book this online...thanks for the link. I wasn't able to ge the night we were hoping for but I was able to book it for our other MK day.

It was odd though, since I called just to make sure that our preferred night wasn't available and the CM I talked to didn't show availability for either of the dates I asked about (5/22 or 5/27). I was checking online just prior to calling and knew that there had been an opening for 5/22 so I hung up the phone, went back to my computer and checked again...sure enough, the reservation for 5/22 was still available.

Has anyone else found there to be a discrepancy between times available online and times available when calling? I assumed that if there was a difference, that more would be available when calling than when checking online. Weird....

Since I could not get online to book our reservations for the dessert party, I had to call. I had two very rude reps. One told me that the dessert party had ended as of January. The other wanted to argue with me that there was no way they were doing it anymore as she had e mails and that I had no idea what I was talking about and where I was getting my information. 3rd time I called back, I got a lady who went through the calendar and told me the times of that were available. I just figured Sunday, May 13th worked fine for us. I just wanted to let y'all know that if anyone has issues, to just keep calling or trying online...

Not for this in particular, but I know I had the timing issue with the Crystal Palace ADR. I wanted the earliest time possible, when I called, the cast member said 8:20am. When I went online, the system said 8:05am.

On page 1 I always list the date when the party becomes available to book..... May became bookable on Wed March 7th

OMG - the universe heard me - I decided to check one more time before I logged off for the night and BAM, a reservation popped up for the night we wanted . Beyond excited!

We got a 9:15 time slot - have to read back in the thread to see what that means as Wishes is at 10 that night and I thought the party starts 1 hour prior.
