YEAH!!! Just got Nov 22nd for 12!!! Amazing I never thought we would get one that week for our whole group! My time said 9 pm, does that mean there are multiple seatings? Or are there 2 sets of fireworks that night?

That's where we are also!! Have never stayed there and really looking forward to it! We should try to meet sometime...when do you leave?

if fireworks are at 10pm that night (and i beleive they are), then 9pm for your arrival to the dessert party is just right... you can get on line a few mins earlier and glimpse some of the parade from the terrace... but typically the dessert party opens an hour before fireworks to get everyone in, settled, sugared up, etc... and once the fireworks end, it's usually a quick exit ('cept for my family, we tend to save some desserts, sit back down, find a photopass photog to take some pics w/the castle lit up in the background, hit the restroom, change the li'l guy into his pjs, and then meander out of the park as the bus lines start to grow shorter)...

I figure we will be doing the same thing. I love to hang out and be the last ones there. This trip will be our first with no little kids! Youngest is now13 yrs old so I figure we may be up latter anyway. I will be at rope drop alone I figure...

I am just playing around with our dates in February and ADR. I was pretty sure that in the past I had seen which days of the week that the dessert party was held, but now I cant find anything. Does anyone know if it is held every day or only on certain days?

just booked for November 17th at 7:15 for a party of 6

So my question is will they put us at a large table where we can't see the fireworks? would it be better to book two parties with smaller tables?

Ughhhh I'm waiting too! We're hoping to book Dec 8, our last night for 4. It's the final thing that I need to book. Oh well, October is only a couple weeks away, I guess, lol. I'll still be checking every day though.

So my question is will they put us at a large table where we can't see the fireworks? would it be better to book two parties with smaller tables?

My understanding is that very few groups can actually watch the fireworks while sitting at their tables. Most of the tables would have the roof blocking the view. Most everyone stands near the wall area during the actual show. (Now I could be totally wrong, but I believe that's what I've read.)

Everyone gets up to stand at the rails regardless of the their table and there is room for everyone.(the CM's don't allow chairs and tables at the rails)

We had a party of six at the end of August. Our table was right under Tink's zip line!! Perfect for my tink loving DD.

Some people moved and stood at the rail, but a lot of people stayed at their tables. I think it depends on the crowd, but no one was asked to move from the railing near our area. But, no one blocked our view from our table either.

They must be doing something with the online reservation system b/c I just checked for December and all the dates are now highlighted along with all the dates in November, Jan, Feb, and most of March....but I couldn't find any availability. Maybe they're opening up December for us...well, they're up to something.

I have a question for everyone here since I wasn't entirely sure of the answer after talking to the Disney Dining people.


There were 2 of us going to the Dessert Party on 10/1, but because of availability, I had to make the reservation for 3... the 2 of us and the phantom toddler.

Since then, it looks like another friend of ours will be arriving that evening and would like to join us. It looks like the party is now sold out, but can I modify my existing reservation for 3 to replace the phantom toddler with a paid adult?

The Phone Rep i spoke to mentioned searching for availability and then cancelling my existing reservation, but since it's sold out I'm not sure if that would be doable....

DON'T DON'T CANCEL, MODIFY. Tell them that you are changing the child to an adult and would like to be charged the difference. IF they can't do it, ask nicely for a supervisor. Be pleasant as many of the CM's don't do this very often and may not be aware of it, so just stay calm. Hopefully you can get it changed quickly. No matter what, it is still a table for three, so I would think that you would be okay. Let us know how it works out, since you never know if someone else will have the same situation.


In regards to the calendar, I saw that this morning also. I called to have them check. The CM I spoke with was very knowledgeable and checked a "few" of her calendars and as she said her "not everyone knows tricks". She advised checking a little more often, but not continuously as this may not mean anything, but could mean something. Gotta love how Disney makes us all look like this:

The dates usually appear on the calendar ahead of time, but for the past couple of months the dates have become available to book about 2 months before (i.e. October dates opened up first week of August, November dates opened up the first week of September). While I'm checking periodically now, I'll be checking a lot more come October 1st.

If you can't get a CM over the phone that is able to modify it for you, I would just leave it the way it is and tell them at the check-in desk when you arrive. Since the number of people isn't technically changing, it should not be a problem.
