Wishes Dessert Party ADR Watch Thread #3-book @ 180 Days Now!

Is the Wishes Dessert Party really open at 180 days? If so, when did that start? (I only recall fighting with CMs over the 60 day mark.) I've looked at every night of our Nov trip and MDE shows no availability for any night. Thoughts?

It's true it's 180days. Just to see I was able to find dates available in feb. I'm looking for October for weeks now I don't know when it started but I think it has been like that all 2014.

Ugh!! So frustrating!! I logged on this morning and put in Nov 2nd and an 8:05 time popped up!! I was so excited!!!

I put in all my info and selected my people and put in my Visa info and hit submit!!

Then I did not get any confirmation at all!! Went right back to the book dining page....

So I went back in and the time was gone!!!

I called and they could not explain it, but I was not on the list for that evening and it was not under my reservations so I guess I lost it!!

She thinks maybe someone else was trying to get it at the same time. She tried to go ahead and book it for me, but it says it is full!

Oh well back to square one!! I will just keep checking..

The same thing happened to me when I was trying to get a BOG reservation....I got the reservation time I wanted, clicked on it, got to where I could put in my CC information and then something happened and it was lost. When I checked back, the time had appeared again. It is almost like once you click on the time you want, the website will hold that time for you while you put in your information, and if something happens during the process, it will lock it in for about an hour. You just have to make sure you are checking back an hour after you initially clicked on the time. Good luck.

Thank you! I will go an check them in about 30 minutes! I was thinking maybe it would have locked up the time like you said??

The CM answered right away so the dining line was not busy this morning. She did try and help.

I grabbed it and this time the reservation was successful and I got my Confirmation! So happy I went back and looked!

So don't give up for those looking for the Wishes dessert party!! I have been checking everyday and I finally go it!~

That happened to me today with an ADR, but it never came back I checked every few minutes for 90 minutes. Must have gotten snagged by someone else somehow. Oh well... still looking.

As to fireworks dessert, I want to cancel the Wishes I have on 11/4, but my sister says she really wants to do a dessert party while we're there, so I'm on the lookout for Illuminations instead. Does anyone know about how many people the capacity is for it? Is it bigger or smaller than Wishes?

The cancellation policy is 5 days before. For that reason, it's often a good idea to check 5 days in advance. During slower times of years, I've heard of walk-ups available. However, the secret seems to be out and this party is becoming more popular. I've been able to land last minute reservations - about 2 to 3 weeks in advance but checking daily for cancellations. Good luck!

I'm seeing reservations that are available, but they are saying 6 or 6:30 p.m. (online). Is this what I want to select? I thought the time was more like 8:30 for the fireworks? Also, can you see the Electrical Parade from this vantage point?

I've peeked through this post, but full disclosure here...I haven't read the entire thing.

This is the only booking they have for the night and you should book it ASAP before it sells out. It is not a very good view of the electrical parade at all. I would see the parade on another night if you really want to see it.

Really great info. I have been obsession about finding a ressie and thinking how great it would be after our BOG to go to it for parade and wishes. I never imagined you couldn't see the parade. I can now relax.

I had been stalking the disney website trying to get a reservation for October since we were 180 days out with no luck.

I have a feeling it will be even harder to get because of the MNSSHP happening so often.

The window for December opened in June, maybe 5 or 6 days after the 180 day point. I made mine on June 11 for Dec. 6th. You can check if there's still availability for Dec. 8, and keep checking for cancellations. Good luck
