Wishes Dessert Party ADR Watch Thread #3-book @ 180 Days Now!

They just cancelled the dessert party for the last 2 weeks of April! Someone on there said they called and book 9/24 and was able to book over the phone...not sure I believe that;)

No!!! The full two weeks? I'm the 25th. Been keeping a very close eye on this hoping they won't cancel. I haven't seen any news on the 24-28 yet.

We have an ADR for April 26th. Have not gotten a call that it is canceled and it's still listed in MDE.

I don't think it's the full 2 weeks. It's the 13-19 and the 29th. Those are the dates in April that has Wishes at 9 instead of 10.

That's what I had been thinking. Not that I agree with them not just adjusting the party time. It's pretty crummy.

This would fit my recent experience. I got lucky a couple of weeks ago and got a reservation for 4 for the TTFDP on 4/29. It wasn't an ideal night for us as we're doing a split stay between the Polynesian and the Beach Club and that is the check out day for the Polynesian so I kept looking for earlier dates. Got lucky last week and was able to book 4/28 and so I cancelled 4/29.

Yesterday I got a call from Disney saying TTFDP was cancelled on 4/29 but then I explained I had already cancelled that date (I did ask them to confirm they saw my 4/28 reservation - a little paranoid I guess).

Of course now I'm thinking had I not cancelled the 4/29 reservation I might have gotten free Illuminations Sparkling Dessert Party tickets...that's hindsight for you.

Had you been looking online or calling? What's best strategy to find cancellations? I'm going last week of April too

Online, just would leave the page up and try each of the ideal dates I wanted any opportunity I had - right after waking up, before leaving for work, getting home, etc. When the time appeared for our preferred date I was a little shocked (after seeing the "no tables available" message for so long). Probably just lucky timing.

I dun get it, so if wishes is at 9, there won't be a party? Why is that? I thought it was always an hour before wishes regardless of wishes start time. :confused3

All I know is the 4/29 reservation we had was for 8:35PM whereas the 4/28 reservation is for 9:10PM so that would've been less "dessert" time..

Ok thanks. And were you using the dedicated TTDP page on Disney site? Or the generic dining reservation page? I heard people get different results using one vs the other

I was using the dedicated TTDP page, just left it pre-filled with TT for the restaurant, date, time and party size. I also tried the Disney DVC Resale site but wasn't convinced that it worked for TTDP even though it is in the list.

Good luck!

I think the staggering of times is just how the system works. They start admitting people at a certain point (an hour before wishes?) and people are taken to their seats based on their order in line. Supposedly where you are seated is affected by when you made the reservation.

That was gonna be my next question- about DVC lol. Thanks for your help! Enjoy your TTDP!

We have an ADR that was at 9 on May 23. Wishes was changed to 9 and I got a call from Disney that our ADR was changed to 8.
