I lucked out and got 2 tickets for Wishes during our upcoming trip (Me and DD 11). She is a very healthy eater and doesn't eat lots of sweets, but I went last year to the dessert buffet, and loved eating all the desserts then sitting down to watch the fireworks. I am now debating if I should cancel? Anyone go with an child (charged as an adult) that didn't eat much, but still felt it was worth it? I do admit, I had a sugar hand-over the next day with all the desserts I ate:rotfl:.

I think this is a time to think if the price of having a good seat for the fireworks is worth the money. If you think of the price as reserved seating and the desserts are "extra", is it still worth it to you? If so, then stay for sure!

They do have chocolate dipped strawberries which are kinda healthy - I mean there is fruit - and she can always take the chocolate shell off.

I personally look at it as you are paying for the experience and not the bickies so I would go and have a great time!

You can buy special tickets for Wishes??

I was really disappointed in the fresh fruit dessert offerings at the Dessert Party. Maybe it was the time of year we went-- mid-September-- so things weren't in season? But, it was all pretty unripe, overripe or dry.

The view, however, is awesome, as is not having to vie for a viewing position. It's nice not to have to bob and weave to avoid the elbows people are throwing in the pre-Wishes frenzy. Also, the party has a Photopass photographer who will take your picture in front of the castle, with fireworks overhead.

I would think anyone who is going to the dessert party but doesn't intend to eat desserts is probably not going to eat much. You can look at it as paying the price for the fireworks view, but you should anticipate that your daughter won't be eating much. If you don't want to pay for her to eat very little, then you should consider cancelling, but if you do want to pay to have the seats and the view, keep it.
