Wishes Cruise V.S Illuminations@!

Ok so since we are saving money on the new dining package we decided to keep on splurging (disney will have all my money some day) And want to pick one of these! Which one would you choose and why?

I believe that the view for Wishes is much better than the view for Illuminations - I have done both.

I too have done both and we have done both pontoon as well as Breathless and Grand One. A hard choice to make but I guess I'd go with Wishes but with that said, if I could do both... I would!

I like Wishes better from inside the park so I liked the Illuminations cruise much better. Wishes has so much going on with respect to what is being shown on the castle and also lower exploding fireworks shells(not exactly sure if that is the techinical way to describe it ) that look better to me when I'm closer to them going off. I can't wait to do another Illuminations cruise!

After taking the Illuminations Cruise twice, I never thought Wishes could top it, but in the end I voted for the Wishes Cruise.

The view from the boat for Illuminations is spectacular, but not so very different from the view at several places around the World Showcase. Seeing Wishes from the water was a totally different experience. The only downside was that we couldn't hear the audio very well at first. Over the course of the show, we slowly moved closer to the MK, so the sound was almost as good as being in the park. As I understand it, some boats (the Magical Gathering boats) are actually equipped with an audio feed, but unfortunately none were running the night we saw it.

Another plus (I thought) was NOT being in the hub for Wishes. For some reason, every time I see it, I've ended up between two speakers that seem a little out of sync, perhaps because I was closer to one than the other. The result is rather garbled audio, and one speaker slightly overlaps the other. No such problem from the boat.

In the end, both cruises are AMAZING and you can't go wrong!

I also prefer Wishes from inside the park-something about it!! So i chose Illuminations cruise for the better cruise to take.

Wishes is much better in the park.....Illuminations, I think the cruise is MUCH better.

I've only taken the Wishes Cruise, but it was incredible! Seeing the fireworks looking like pixie dust showering the Castle is amazing. I agree with a previous poster who said that my sound in the park can be a problem depending on where you stand. My son has VERY sensitive ears so every time in the park for Wishes, he has to plug his ears. On the boat, the boats around us provided a perfect sound level, especially for him. So needless to say, I voted for Wishes.
