Okay, I didn't care that much about being able to see Wishes from CA Grill, after all, I'm going for the food. And I like to eat early, so I assumed Wishes wouldn't be showing when I ate. But, my ADR's at 5:40, and on the MK calendar it has the Wishes time at 6:00, which means, (unless I get seated late, which I don't think I will, since I'll be at the restaurant ten minutes after it opens,) I should be able to see Wishes from there. But, this is also a MVMCP night. So is the calendar right? Or is it just a misprint, because I thought there were no showings of Wishes the nights of the MVMCPs.

.. they do Wishes at 6PM??? Wow, can you even SEE the fireworks? Florida's sun battles all.. :/

You will be able to see Wishes from the CA Grill they usually dim the lights and stop serving while it is going on. Enjoy.

Last time I was there, they said they had stopped doing that because if was dangerous :sad2: . Couldn't hear the music over the crowd. But stayed in because they served our entree just as it started.
I prefer Wishes down by the castle. From CA Grill, the fireworks are off to one side and don't look as good. But if you are there, I would recommend the balcony.

I was wondering about that to. At home it's dark by 5:00 PM in Dec, but I wasn't sure what time it gets dark in FL then.

We are running into this as well.
Our reservations are at 5:30pm, Wishes at 6pm and the MVMCP is at 7pm (we are not going to that...) The CM I talked to said this year they are doing WISHES on the night of the MVMCP just earlier. In Dec. it will be dark at this point. Also, he said that we will be able to "pause" dinner to get up and go out on Balcony to see FW.
Personally, I've never done this and am only doing it on a friends recommendations. It is a little worrisome to me with 3 kids and using 2 meal credits, but I've been told it worth it for sure. Any thoughts? :confused3

I can tell you that watching having dinner at the California Grill and watching Wishes was a highlight of the vacation for my neice and nephew. We went out on the balcony, though we could have watched from our seats. It is true that overall the experience of Wishes is better from the MK, due to the positioning of the fireworks, but it is pretty magical from the CG too. You just have to do what we did--watch from both places on different nights! :)

I'm going to look foward to seeing Wishes now, I already have three MK nights planned that I can see Wishes at MK, and two MVMCP, that I can see Holiday Wishes, and now I'll be able to see them from CA Grill as well.

Like I said in my first post, I'm going for the food, but this will make it just a little more special for me. :goodvibes

Hi folks

I was under the impression that despite what might have been posted in some places, Wishes won't be happening at 6pm on nights of MVMCP. Can anyone confirm?

Just confirmed again with a Cast Member at Disney Phone Line and yes the Wishes is going to still be on the nights of the MVMCP, just the hour before it starts. :thumbsup2
Ex. Dec. 21st, Wishes at 6pm, MVMCP at 7pm, Holiday Wishes at 9:30pm

I have seen Wishes from Calif. Grill - it is a different perspective from up there. I went awhile ago and they let you outside.

For what its worth, the other place I've seen Wishes was the porch at Narcosees at GF, it was one of the better places I've been able to see the show.
