Does anyone know if Ohana's pipes in the Wishes music?? We have 6:45 adrs and I figured we could take our time and just watch Wishes from the restaurant if we could also hear the music??
Thanks!

Yes they do. They dim the lights a bit and pipe in the sound. A real treat!!!

1) Just make sure you have window seats.
2) Many seats from Ohanas do not have a Wishes view.

GREAT!! Thanks so much for your help!!
Our reservations are for Valentines Day, maybe I can call at request a window seat--you never know?!?!
Thanks again!

We're going Sunday for our third time and we haven't ever had a seat not near the window! They're usually pretty good about accomodating requests :thumbsup2

We also have a 6:45 ADR and I've been wondering if we would still be there for Wishes...is that too long? Maybe if we're seated late? Anyone have any experience with the "perfect" ADR time to catch the fireworks??

6:45pm shoudl be about right. We did a 7pm ressie and it was just fine.

We have the same time ressies in 3 weeks and plan to get there about 5-10 mins before our ressie time and if we are seated a bit late, no biggie because we want to see the fireworks.

Our ressies are for 8:15, is that to late to see wishes?
Thanks!

Look up park hours on the main DIS page and see what time Wishes is listed for that night. If its at 9p, you'll be fine.

'Ohanas pipes in the music. It is really awesome!

What do you guys think of Ohanas? We currently have reservations for Boma, but I'm thinking about switching, and then watching Wishes from the beach. My husband and I only have one day together while we're there and I thought this would be a romantic way to spend it. The only problem is then trying to figure out how to get back to the Beach Club afterwards. The fireworks aren't until 10pm.

Just returned today:sad1: and my DH and I agreed that Ohana was the best meal out of all the World! We had a 6:35 ADR and was seated after 7, which was perfect timing for Wishes. We didn't have a window seat, but could see the fireworks. A wonderful meal and the setting is beautiful. I would make this meal the first on any ADR-to-do list.

This will be mine and my families first (and possibly only) trip to WDW. I was originally planning on doing both dinner at Ohana's and watching Wishes from the Poly Beach. Which would be a better experience for my family - to watch Wishes from the restaurant or from the beach? (I should say my family consists of me, hubby DD12 and DS8)

Also, our plane arrives at 4:00 pm and Wishes will be at 9:00 pm. I would assume that we would have plenty of time to use ME transport to Pop, relax for a short time, go to dinner and then enjoy the fireworks. Does that sound do-able with travel times? And then, what time should I make our ADR for?

I went with my parents and younger brother in March around Easter. We got there on Good Friday around 7, so I made our ADR for 9:15. Wishes was at 10PM that night so we were there in time.

Off topic a bit but: That morning before heading to the airport we got the news that my aunt (dad's sister) had passed away. She had been in the hospital for a few weeks at that point but we were hoping for a recovery. My dad's other sister thought our aunt would want us to go on our trip and enjoy it, so that is what we did.

It was really magical when we checked in for our 1st night dinner at Ohana (means family) and were seated at the most perfect table right by the window with an amazing view of the castle for Wishes. I felt like my aunt helped us with some pixie dust :)

Yep the music comes thru loud & clear!
We just ate there last Saturday nite. We had a 6:40pm ADR for our party of 6. We were seated at 7pm.

We didn't request a window table, but got one anyway. It was perfect!! We had a great view of WISHES.

* We were in WDW for 8 nites & had a table-service meal each night. This was my 66yo father's absolute FAVORITE meal of the entire trip!

hi there, I'm glad you started this thread! We're going to O'Hana's on May 1 and have reservations for 7:00pm. I was hoping to catch the EWP then WIshes. Is my reservation too early? Or will it be just the right amount of time to walk on the beach before Wishes which starts at nine? Also wondering if you can time taking a ferry across the lake during WIshes? We'll have to get back to the AKL after and I'm wondering how long it might take from the Poly to the bus station at the MK wait for the bus, then back to AKL...just thinking about it gives me a headache....can you call a taxi from the Poly? About how much would it cost from the Poly to the AKL? Thanks for your help :)
