Well this is my first time here. I am quiet excited to see other people as excited about Disney as I am. My Fiance and I are going to be married on July 31, 2004. We are taking a day of rest and the embarking on our Disney adventure.
Since there are so many experts here I was wondering if you all could help us so that we wont miss anything that is important for couples to see and do.
We are staying at the Grand Floridian. We are about up for anything and I just want to see everything that there is to see. But we only have 5 days. Bummer. But at least we get to go and stay at a beautiful place like the Grand.

Welcome to the DIS and Congratulations! We have been to the world many times, and still we have not seen all there is to be seen. The main thing is that you RELAX and ENJOY the time you do have with your new spouse. The great thing about Disney is that there is so much to see and do, it makes you want to go back again and agian and again.

One suggestion is to get your bride and groom hats and wear them. We take pleasure in going out of our way to congratulate newlyweds who are wearing them, and I know that the CM's (castmembers) usually make them feel even more special, including getting better seating and sometimes participation in shows.

Have a GREAT time!

I wish you all the best!!

We're staying at the Grand Floridian in April for part of our honeymoon.

I've been debating with myself how to divide our time and to get the most park time AND the most time to enjoy the resort....and it's been making me crazy.

I finally realized this morning that the parks are always going to be there, but we will never stay at the GF again. It's a once in a life time thing for our honeymoon.

Thinking of it that way, I'm going to plan on us enjoying our room of course....and our balconey....and then enjoying the music in the lobby, the pools, the grounds, watching the fireworks etc.

We can always come back another time to get in more park time.

We'll never be on our honeymoon again.

Again, all the best to you as you begin your life together!!

First of all thank you for the congrats. The only one honeymoon thing is why we decided to book the Grand. Well sort of. We tossed and turned trying to decide where to stay. So finally we took all of the possibilities and threw them in a hat and drew. We figured we are going to have a great time no matter what so who cares where we stay. From the beginning I wanted to stay at the Grand but the price was keeping me from doing so. We decided to swallow the cost and just do it. We are so excited and I know that no matter what we do we will have a great time.

I heard the the Grand is known for upgrading honeymooners. If you know anything about this let me know otherwise tell me when you get back if it happened.

Thank you.

Yes congrats. We are doing our Disney Honeymoon on the 5th. This is going to be a great week. Get the hats. We have never been, but after reading all of the great info, we will be wearing them on the plane and to the hotel. Leave all your stress behind at home. You are on vacation, know what you want to do at Disney, and as long as you are together the magic will come. At first we were worried about the crowds because of the week right before Easter, but hey it's Disney, were not at work, we just got married, and were on our honeymoon. Enjoy and again congrats!!!
