Wish we could move

My husband and I have been thinking of moving recently. I've been reading so many posts about people moving to FL. That is one place we were considering moving. The only downside to that is, that we would be SO far away from my family. (we live in Seattle now) Also, since we are from Seattle, I think the weather would probably kill us! (we are wimps) I would REALLY love to work at WDW, and we love the housing and how inexpensive it is down there though. So those are the plusses.

On the other hand, we would also LOVE to move to CA. The problem there is, we really can't afford to move there. Housing prices there are worse than they are here! We would want to live somewhere in the greater LA area. I would also want to work at DL if we moved there. I do have family down there, and it's an easy drive up I-5 back to Seattle as well.

This is our dilemma. FL = Cheaper, and WDW is there
CA = Family is close, we love the weather, we love DL and almost everything else except the fact that it's expensive and very crowded.

Sorry.....I guess I just needed to get all that off my chest. We've been debating this for weeks now.
Thanks for listening!

In your case, I would choose moving to CA since you have family and for the other reasons you had stated. Because of high prices, you may have to make some sacrafics and find an apartment or live somewhere around the LA area, not in LA itself.

I think if you are a close-knit family, CA would be the best choice..

However - if money to travel back and forth would not be an issue, then I would go to Florida..

Tough choice to make!

I'd pick Cali. The weather there is awesome and then you'd be closer to your family. Family is important! :D

I know everything is SOOO expensive out there though. You want to be able to live comfortably. If money weren't an issue, I'd pick Cali, but if money is tight, go for Florida.

I prefer the weather in Cali. There's not as many bugs and it's not humid. (I have naturally curly hair so humidity is my enemy! )

My bil and his wife just moved out of CA in March after being there about 20 years due to the lousy job market and the expense! Good luck! :)
