** WISH Volunteers for WDW Marathon Weekend **

Posting to confirm that we've completed the registration process for the Disney 1/2, Water Stops #2/#9. :woohoo:

OK, I'm confused. I may have one too many Debra's on WS#2/9. Or not. Do I? Help.

Just one Debra who hadn't filled out the forms until she heard back from her ILs. If you could add DOOD to the list, that would be cool. Sorry for the confusion!

We'll be at WLV. If anyone else is there and will have a vehicle adn wants to riders, let em know. Did not see that we had to get to WWoS. :guilty: We'll figure somethign out, though.

Worst case, as Fozzie says, we'll cab-it!

Debra, Erica, Lynn and I are on water stop 2/9 also.

Thirsty Panda:hippie:

Why else would I have signed up there? ;) This si oging to eb so much fun!

Huge kudos to everyone volunteering for the full too! This is awesome!!!

YYYYYiiiiiiiiiiipppppppppppeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

Water station 2/9 for the half is a WISH station!!

Dave and I will be staying at BWV and have a car!!

Erica:cool1:

John and I will be at water stop 2/9 also. We're staying at the Poly and could use a ride. We can get to any monorail stop, but other than that might have to resort to arranging for a taxi. I got so excited when I saw that Tracey was at the Poly also.......then I realized that she'll be working the full and we'll be working the half. I'm so excited to be helping out at the Donald and also to see all you WISHers the following day when it's my turn to race.

ha,ha...just thought of something....I saw the photo of Jim with his free coffee.....I love coffee but hope they will have a port-o-potty or two for the workers......I'm not too good at peeing into an empty Dasani bottle!

Jean,..... I'm still excited because we'll both be at the Poly!! I loved it last year, so decided to try it again. We were bumped to concierge and that was AWESOME!! I am also excited to see you at the half water stop #2&#9!! I'll see you the next day at the exit to MK at water stop #11!!!
Can't wait to see ya and say ALOHA!

Tracy: wow, concierge at the Poly is awesome! I am so jealous. Have you made your reservation yet? I have an AP but I don't want to wait for those rates to come out. I am thinking of using one of the marathon travel companies. Their rates are better than any quote I can get from Disney.

Jean: Yes I have already made the ressie, did the Basic Marathon package. Hope to see you there.

*** OK who is joining us at WS #11 for the FULL???? Hey Duckie, how about you and Noah??***

I'd love to do this, especially the course monitor at Studios or BC. Or a 'screaming fan.' I'd have to talk it over with the dbf and his family. So far, he's hesitant since we'll be doing the half the day before and alot of the shifts are early.

Jeanne - No worries. We had port-o-potties right near by. They think of everything. :thumbsup2

As far as Scream Teaming goes....

I bought a handfull of extra green cow bells at Target in Jan or Feb and put them away for this year. I also bought 4 (I think) lime green beach towels that they had in the Dollar Spot this spring. I thought maybe we could cut up the beach towels and soak/freeze them for handing out later in the full while scream teaming wherever. I know Anne's washcloths were a huge hit last year. And I couldn't pass up something lime green!

If I do this and get a shift that starts later, like 6:30 am, when do I have to be at the WWoS on Sunday? Would 5 am be ok or earlier?

I'm not 100% positive, but I think the start time IS the time you have to be at WWoS.....is that correct?

I haven't registered yet (well, actually for either the marathon or volunteering) but DH and I just finished discussing plans and we're both signing up for the Full, and he agreed to volunteer with me at the Half, so we'll be joining the crowd at Water Stops 2 & 9! :cool1: I thought he'd groan when I told him the time, but kinda forgot that he gets up at 3:00 every morning to go to work (he's a Dunkin Donuts manager - "time to make the donuts") so he just rolled his eyes. :rolleyes1

Off to spend some money online!

Jackie

Yay, Jackie and hubby will be with us!!!!! :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2: My Raleigh buddy that I never see! John and I plan to sign up for the City of Oaks half-marathon in the next day or 2. The rates go up 8/2 so we have to do it quick. I actually considered signing up for the full because Wendy is doing it and we have a similar pace, but I don't think I'll be ready by then. My training lately has been non-existent!
