First, thank you all for such great information and insight. I cannot believe how much people on these boards are willing to help others.

Well, after much thought, we have put an offer on a DVC resale thru the Timeshare Store. I have always wanted to have a place at the BeachClub Villas, but everytime we looked there were no resales available. So, we had almost made up our minds to buy into SSR. There were so many plusses into buying into the new SSR. But, I have read so many times on these boards, buy where you heart wants to call home. For us, the BCV was our choice.

Last night, I checked the Timeshare site and wow - the BCV was listed. Even my DH, who was not quite as enthusiastic as me :Pinkbounc about buying DVC was excited over the BCV choice.

So, we will overnight our deposit and cross our fingers for the best. Wish us luck.

Now, down to business. This is my dilemma:

We had already booked the PC from 4/18 thru 4/27 with the Disney Kids Free Visa Deal. Final payment is due 3/4. Does anyone think there is anyway possible - heads together everyone:jumping1: we could somehow get a place booked for our vacation (meaning I would cancel my Visa deal and use our points - there are already 160 on the books.?) How long does it take before the deal is completed thru Timeshare? Does Disney drag their feet?

I had called MS and they said they could not talk to me - yet:( .

Well, if anyone has any great websites for the BCV, or recommendations on room choices (studio or 1bd) it is always appreciated.

Thank you and God Bless everyone.

So much of this depends on Disney's ROFR. I have heard most say it takes about a month, so I guess I would keep your ressie. There is no guarantee you will actually get this resale, so you don't want to be out of a trip altogether, unless you don't have to worry about airline tickets. If you do not already have airline tickets, you might cancel and hope for planning a trip at another time with your points.

As to your dilemma, I think DVC availability is going to be tight for the nights you are looking for, but I'll cross my fingers for you (also for your BCV offer being accepted and passing ROFR).

Another thought might be, that since you know you are probably gonna be going back to WDW within a year, you might think about Annual Passes. Then you would qualify for AP holder discounts on lodging (if available), re-book at PC (or another WDW hotel incl our fav' AKL!) at a discount (again, if available), and you'll still have the passes available for your BCV stay next January (or whenever). It's a thought...

Again, we'll be keeping our fingers crossed for you.

With your resale offer just made yesterday, you are still about 5-6 weeks out from the point where you will actually be able to make reservations. That's cutting it way too close, so I think you'll just need to stick with your PC reservations for your spring trip.

Also, keep in mind that the deal you purchased included free park tickets for the kids for the duration of your stay. That was a pretty good bargain for any family with more than 1 child.

Look on the bright side ... you can now "bank" those unused BCV points for this year and lump 'em together with next year's points to take a truly memorable family trip (staying longer, upgrading to a 2 bedroom unit, etc.). On that note, pay attention to the 100% banking window on your points. If the window is going to close before your resale completes, you may want to ask the current owner to bank them for you.

Good luck with the resale and please keep everyone updated on these boards.

I can't give much helpful info to you Momoftwins, except to say I think you'd want to really take advantage of what the BCV's have to offer and book a 1 bedroom for your first trip home. I'm not all that familiar with the layout of this resort so I'm not sure what else to really suggest. I did have a couple of web sites for you---mostly pics on these :

Sending magical wishes your way for a successful BCV resale :wizard:

I agree with Jeff's sage advice.

Time is not on your side for changing the plans you already have in place. We just signed our closing papers on a contract that went to Disney for ROFR on January 30. It took 10 days for Dis to pass on the deal. I then got the closing moved up 10 days from March 16 to the 6th. Posts on this forum say it's another week before we'll get into the system and be able to make reservations. So the whole process for us will likely be six weeks before it's over.

Sounds like you've set up a nice vacation. Go. Enjoy. Then plan a special first trip home after your resale goes through... you'll have lots of points to use at the resort you most want to call home.

Best of luck with ROFR.
