Wish Trippers...Unite!! Volume One

How exciting!! I bet you can't wait!!!!
I have no advice for you as we've never been but I hope one of the experienced Dis'ers here can help you out.


I've been thinking of starting a Trip Report, but not quite sure how to do it. Do I start a Pre Trip Report or right on to the actual Trip Repot? Is it too early? Where do I post it?

I will be thankful for all help!

BUT...I have a question for all of you guys...

Lauren and her mom are going to the Castle for lunch. It should take a couple of hours for them to eat. Meanwhile, Rick, William and I will be out riding rides...

We figure we will try to catch Space Mountain, Thunder Mountain and/or Splash Mountain while they are eating. But...I am not sure how to schedule that. I know that other families have taken the GKTW button and gone to ride a ride real quick...but Lauren will have her button with her (and I definitely want her to keep it with her to get that special attention at the Castle)...so, should we get FASTPASSES for those rides to use later? Or take her GAC with us? Will that be enough, or will we need her button. I definitely want William to try to get those kinds of rides "out of the way" so that Lauren can participate in everything...

I don't want to run to Space Mountain or Thunder/Splash at rope drop because Lauren can't ride those...

Does that make sense? Any thoughts on that?

The few rides my daughter did not go on,my older kids used the GAC without problems.My daughter also has CP & cannot sit without support .But she's a bit of a thrill seeker!I thought Splash Mountain was an easy ride for her .Soarin was the easiet transfer .You bring her right up to the ride seat & the CM moves the chair.FYI-if my daughter really enjoyed the ride ,I asked the CM if we could stay on for another turn.Easier to stay on than transfering again later !

The kids are doing GREAT but I am very tired and not feeling myself. I hope that I didnt pick up anything while on the plane or at the park.

this thread is so great, I'm going to read all the trip reports more in-depth when I've got some time on my hands next week at the hospital. Maybe AJ & I can start his pre-trip report then. I've been holding off on final confirmations, but we are going, just not sure of the dates yet.

We had a very bad morning this morning, with port infection issues (it wasn't infected thankfully), throwing up last night and sleeping in the chair, and fighting some wierd hospital schedule. We wish this trip could come sooner. It seems like everything this morning has caused my eyes to water!

He is supposed to spend a couple days in his classroom at school this week, and the principal and teacher had told me at the beg of the school year they would have a desk & mailbox for him all ready. Then when I told them he would be there this week, they kind of freaked out on me. It just makes me wonder what they're thinking. Why offer it if you don't really want us there?

O'well, sorry to be a downer, we just can't wait for this trip and we love to read about all of yours!!!

I'm sorry about your bad day... Doesn't sound like fun. And I'm sorry the teacher didn't seem happy about getting Aj in the classroom. You should start your PreTR and maybe that will help cheer you up. I look forward to reading it.

I haven't been on the boards much this week because my kids have been sick. I had a 1:00 visit to the ER with Sebastian on Tuesday and last night Siennah was running a fever of 102. You can read about it at http://greenawaltfamilylife.blogspot.com/ Don't you just love germy season?

Aww, that doesn't sound like fun! Are they better now? My kids were very sick a few weeks ago too. Lydia did her whole breathing issues thing and I think we went to the doctors 4 times in 2 weeks. Don't you just hate hospitals sometimes? Is Savannah okay? And what about you? Hopefully you won't catch whatever they have...

And thank you SO much for the Pixie Dust that's on it's way!!! YAY!!!! Lydia will be so excited!!!!

I wanted to post some pictures from the Make A Wish night that Cold Stone Creamery had. All of the proceeds between 5:00 and 8:00 p.m. went to the MAW Foundation. Cold Stone was also giving away ice cream during this time. While we were there the Owner asked us if Sebastian would like to come back and make his own creation. He was delighted! He chose "purple" ice cream (blue berry muffin) with sprinkles and M&Ms. I had to fight back tears the whole time. I just can't get over what an amazing charity Make A Wish is and all of the wonderful bussinesses who support them. We were also able to purchase and decorate "stars" in support of Make A Wish. Not surprisingly Sebastian drew a picture of Buzz Lightyear on his. Just over two months until his wish to see Buzz comes true!

Hi everyone,
I have a sort of random question: do you think there's enough space in the big bathroom for a playpen? Our kids aren't used to sharing a room and I think both would sleep better if Tobias slept in the bathroom. Also, how loud are the bathroom fans? They usually sleep with a fan on and if the bathroom one is loud enough then we wouldn't have to bring another one.

I know that every villa is different.However we were there in August and our villa had a HUGE bathroom, big enough for a playpen.I can't really rememer how loud the fan was though, sorry.

On a side note-so sorry I have not been posting much lately.I got a job for the first time in 10 years and have not had much computer time.I am working as a one on one aide in our local high school.I assist a young man with CP.I aslo am a teaching assisitant in some of the classrooms where kids need a little extra help.I LOVE the job but find I don't have much time for anything else! Love to you all.

How wonderful for you. We miss you but totally understand. My sister in law does the same sort of thing in a school near her home in VA. She loves it as well. Just drop by on occasion to keep us up to date!

First of all, we had an absolutely MAGICAL first few days! I can't wait to tell you all of the details...

But, we are having some issues. Lauren and Lisa got sick first...stomach bug...and now William has it. Lauren had to go to the emergency room last night and get fluids and some antibiotics as well. She seems to be feeling better today, although we have taken the day off and hopefully that will help...we could really use your prayers!! Hopefully we can get back to a magical vacation tomorrow!

Thank you guys!! I can't wait to give you all of the details of the trip! Although we are disappointed that we have been sick, the trip has overall been awesome with lots of cool surprises (PIXIE DUST!)
