GUESS WHAT!! I experienced my first bit of Disney Magic! Pixie Dust!

Lauren said something tonight about wanting to have a nice meal with just her mom...so I thought...it would be SOOO cool if I could get her a meal somewhere really nice and fun! BUT...we are leaving in less than 1 month..........

I called the ADR line. And told them that I wanted a cool place for Lauren and her Mom to eat on the day we will be at MK... and they said....

HOW ABOUT A LUNCH AT CINDERELLA'S CASTLE!!!!!

Oh My GOSH! Someone had just canceled. A table for 2. So, Lauren is going to get have an awesome meal with just Lauren and her mom! How cool is that??? In Cinderella's Castle! WOW!

LOL ! TOO FUNNY ! The kids look quite giddy with excitement ! But it doesn't look like they're getting much packing accomplished !I didn't start packing till the day before our trip.What was I thinking ! It takes me an hour & a half to pack for a day at the beach ! Have a great time & take LOTS of pictures to share !!!!

We are getting really excited! Lindsey and the kids came over because we got 2 packages in the mail today. Colored pencil rollups and autograph books. The kids were so excited that they wanted to collect my autograph! I had to explain that the pages were for Disney World and famous people so we practiced on regular pieces of paper writing names and getting each others autographs. I am hoping that Lindsey is going to post the pictures on the PTR.

Hi everyone. I've been lurking here for a while, just reading and soaking it in until I had a chance to post.

WELCOME How fun to do a cruise

It has taken me a while to catch up since we got back from our wish trip. We flew Southwest and had no problems. As soon as we got through security, we went to the gate check in and told the people that we were on a MAW trip and that we were told to get a pre boarding pass. They had no problem giving us one on the way down and on the way back home. We got some of the first few seats and we all sat together. There are 7 of us. We also brought snacks and McDonalds on the plane. I saw people bringing all kinds of food on the plane.
We had a wonderful time despite a 4 day visit from Tropical Storm Fay. We put on rain ponchos and did the best that we could.
We only ran into 1 grouchy CM, most of the time we were treated like royalty GKTW is an awsome place. Even my older kids (19 &17) thought it was cool.

Welcome back Robin. I'm so glad to hear you had no problems with SW. We got our flight confirmation and we're flying SW. I'll have to pack snacks as it's about 6.5 hr flight I'm sorry Fay came

Today is officially 100 days till our trip!!! Tomorrow will be down to double digits!!!

We've been busy, busy over here. We went to the mountains for Labor day. Sebastian and Siennah had their first day of preschool this week. Today is me and Brian's six year wedding anniversary. Check out my blog for all the adventures.

Misty was asking about Sebastian...His other phone call from the Ortho surgeon was good. Now we are contending with a cough he's had for going on six weeks. We had him on Zrytec and it didn't do anything. Now we are trying an antibiotic. So far it's doing nothing either. He probably just has a little virus. Trouble is we have to be postive there's no metastasis to his lungs before we remove his port on the 15th. If the cough doesn't clear up we'll go ahead with an MRI or CT just to check things out. I hate being so paranoid anymore.

What do you all think? I would never want to ruin a trip for anyone including us and so all 10 of us really would be willing to wait in the regular line if we needed to. We would just need to be careful that Karlyn didn't get too tired.

I don't think you being in the line would ruin someone's trip. Karlyn deserves a trip just as magical as any of the other kids and having you with her is part of that.

Today is our last real day to get things organized as we all have to work on Monday and Tuesday. We also have to work in the BYU football game, the University of Utah football game and 3 kids soccer games this morning. Oh and Mike and I are going to dinner with our Splash Mountain friends tonight! ARGH!

Yesterday was a really busy day. We did love the BYU game, sorry for the Huskies but we do bleed BYU blue at our house. We are giving away our tickets to next week's BYU/UCLA home game because of our trip. Grandpa says that is the ultimate sacrifice a grandfather should have to make The Utah team beat UNLV so we were happy with that too!

We like to say that Lindsey's family is our "token" skinny family. The first picture of her husband in that suitcase just absolutely cracks me up!

I have just updated. Please remember that I am currently unable to keep up with this thread (or anything for the matter) as I do not have internet access. In other news, we are in St.Louis for follow-up appts. We are doing well. My life is crazy at the moment but a "normal" crazy vs. the seven months of hospital stay "crazy. I hope everyone is well and I think of you guys often. I miss being here. We will not be able to go to Disney in January do to finances which is killing me since we promised Danae but it's just not feasible. We are trying desperately to get out of debt. We are looking at 2010 as a possibly though.

That is SOOO cool. We did not think Lauren would qualify for MAW until a nurse at the hospital told us about it. Thank you so much for what you are doing... you are changing these kids lives and helping the families, too!

Wow that's awesome. There's other wish granting organizations out there? Before my husband and I watched that one race in April I had never never heard of the MAW. I was actually quite shocked that our son was approved. It's really a dream come true.

Welcome , I hope you have success with Chef Mickey's. Are you going to stay at Give Kids the World or somewhere else? Keep us informed. There are a couple of families that are going in November I think!

Hello everyone! I have been hiding out for a little while there. Glad to see new members popping in.
We are at our 2 week mark! YEAH! Time for the true stress to hit me!! We just found out that our wish team volunteer who is a couple, her husband became ill so we are pretty bummed but she is still going to give us our paper work and call this week but it is unlikely that we are going to have a going away party.
Any traveling tips? It will be a 5 hour + flight with a 6 and a 4 year old so I am a little worried on how to keep them busy. We have only been on a 1 hour flight a while back and even that was tough.

The best thing to do is start a little Pretrip report about your wish child and your family. You can read some of the others to see how we have started ours out. We were all beginners when we started. The way you do that is go to the pretrip report thread and up in the corner where it says start a new thread, click on that and then just go for it. Then come back here to the Wish trippers and tell us all the name of your report so we can track you down and read about your family. I know this is not a very good description of how to go about this but I am not very technical. Perhaps someone else can give you better directions.
