I was talking to my NDN (next door neighboor..) who usually stays onsite. She said that up till 2 or 3 years ago the length of stay tickets not only let you Park hop between the 4 theme parks, but the ticket also let you have unlimited use of all the "extras" too! They would hit the water park in the AM, and MK in the afternoon and Disney Quest on the same day...

So how cool would it be if the MYW tickets had the almost same use? Like this- go to a water park ,and DQ or PI on the same day... instead of having to use 2 options to do both.

And I know that if you have a PAP you can do it all. We do, but the NDNs don't and they are going down with us this week. I am going down with all the teenagers tomorrow, and my DH and BF next door are coming down Fri with another kid... The 3 teens I am taking want to do DQ a lot, and a water park, and Adventures club on day.. but the NDN teens only have 10 day MYW left overs from last years trip.. and I don't want to eat all the options up befor their mom gets down there! I think I will pay out of pocket for 2 entries to PI/Adventures Club mid week, the PAP discount won't be to bad...

Any one else have a "wish" list for what MYW tickets could do?
I also wish you could reload them as much as you wanted, like if you had a 10 day MYW with all the options, used 4-6 and then could "repay" to go back to 10 days, or add a bunch more options... And yes, I know this wouldn't be cost effective for Disney! Remember this is FANASTY talking, here!

So what do you want MYW to do... in your dreams....

(be free, $$$ less, have more day 10+/ more extras... we ALL want that!)

I believe those were the "Ultimate Passes" and they were what you got when you booked a package.

Yes, they were easy to use because everything was included, however I seem to remember that they were also quite a bit more expensive (again, because everything was included), especially if you weren't going to be using all of the options. We found it was cheaper to buy an AP.

Yeah, it always sounded great, but we never ended up using the extras as much as we thought we would, and not on the same days as the parks anyway. It sounds really cool, and was probably great for some families, but for us, I'd rather have the less expensive ticket.

Edit- I just remembered that because the tickets were more expensive, we ended up buying an "ultimate park hopper" that was less days in our stay, because it was more expensive for each day. I much prefer the MYW tickets that are around $5 for each extra day once you hit 6 days or so (I'm guessing with those numbers). This time we'll have a ticket for each day of our stay, even our arrival and departure days, even if we only have 2 hours in the parks, because it's so cheap to add the extra days!

Length of Stay Passes offered that too. We had the Stars and Stripes versions on our Dec 04 trip, but it was too cold for the water parks, and we were too tired to do Pleasure Island, so we only used the park hopper feature.

On our honeymoon 3 years ago, the AWESOME CM that checked us in upgraded us to the ultimate passes when we told him why we were there. It was our first trip, so we really didn't understand at the time how nice a deal that was.

Those were expensive...and sometimes people no knowing would buy them even if they were going when it was too cold to use the pools. Thinking they were getting a good deal.

Glad they changed it..I also think it makes some of the tickets more affordable by adding the expiration choice.

I just checked with her, and they had the Length of Stay / booked hur AAA.
They did DQ almost every day. So it worked out great for them. We never stay on site so it hasn't been an option, PAP works great for me....

BUT...
What do you wish you could add/change about MYW, now?
I would like a free game of mine golf?
Option for one of the dinner shows at a discount?
Be able to keep adding days/pluses ?

Any others some one can dream up?

We had Ultimate Park Hoppers with our package in 1999. We never went to the water parks, or Disney Quest or Pleasure Island. We stayed onsite for 7 nights/8 days and spent most of one day offsite in Daytona (Speedway), spent less than 1/2 that day at Epcot. We did park hop everyday, however, but would not have need to pay extra for anything but the hopper.

MYW offers so much more flexibilty and you really only pay for what you think you will use during your stay. If you don't want to park hop you can buy a base ticket. The add-on hopping, water parks and/or no-expiry. And it's great that you save money with the longer duration passes.

Ok...

BUT....

IF you COULD CHANGE MYW .....

What would you add/change Or wish for?

Passes like those are still available in the UK. Disney sell 14 and 21 day Ultimate tickets which basically give you two or three weeks of admission to anything Disney whenever you want. The cost is slightly above that for a 10 day base + Fun & More option.

Most Brits make use of these as the costlier and longer journeys mean we stay 2-3 weeks per visit. If any of you stateside folk are planning a longer trip you may be able to buy these and have them posted over?

I would make the tickets free, have them include all parks, water parks, DQ, cover charges at PI, and admission to Sea World and Dolly Parton's Stampede dinner-show thingie. I would have them include three meals and two snacks per day. I would have them be Ultimate Fastpasses that would let me go to the front of any line I wanted, and let me sneer at the other people in line without fear of reprisal. I would make a little slot at "it's a small world" where, if I put my ticket in, it would transpose the song down a fifth. And once per trip, the ticket would be a free $500 debit card for my wife to use at Downtown Disney while I would be held in Walt's apartment in the Castle where Belle and Jasmine would play "good cop - bad cop" and make me confess what a bad boy I've been. :cool1:

And they wouldn't be available to anybody but me!

Well, hey, we're dreaming, right? Think this might be a prize in the new contest? :lmao:

I'd like to ditto everything POB14 said except for the Belle and Jasmine bit :teeth: because all the rest was a top notch fantasy! I would like to add a personal taxi at my beck and call, mostly for the end of the day when I'm exhausted because I enjoy taking the Disney buses in the mornings. The bus drivers are great and everyone is in such good spirits :goodvibes .

I don't think I understood the MYW ticket until just now because when I first saw this thread I thought I'd like to be able to take a break right in the middle of the 10 days so we could do Universal, IOA and Sea World. However checking here on the Dis it states that the ticket expires 14 days after first use so that wouldn't be an issue! Which is great news to me as I want to start my trip with the MK but also end my trip with the MK ::yes::.
