Wish Me Luck!!!

Woke up to some bad news. Lost bid on house after going back and forth all week. Someone put in a higher bid (which I can't afford to go beyond) and they accepted it. Boo! Have an appointment in the morning to look at others.

Sorry to hear that, Nikki. It just means the right house is still waiting for you somewhere!

Nikki,

Sorry to hear that... You WILL find something that you like... It's important that you know your limits, good for you:thumbsup2

Good Luck in your search.

Mark

Your attitude is great. You will find a place of your own but it can take time. But it is so important to stay within your budget - so you can take trips to WDW (and DLR).

Sorry to hear that, Nikki. That happened to us several times while we were looking. Actually the house we ended up buying was one we lost a bid on. The original people backed out, so they came back and asked us if we were still interested. We sure were! So you never know. I found looking for a house very stressful (we were also under time constraints), but I firmly believe that if you lose a bid, it's really not meant to be and the right house for you is out there.

Sorry it fell through, Nikkibell...that happened to us a few times when we were house hunting, and finally the right house and sellers came along. Keep up your good attitude and be patient (hard, I know).

So sorry to hear that. House buying can be so frustrating! Happy hunting and I bet you find something good or better!

I always said that if the bid didn't go through it wasn't meant to be. I'm hoping for some luck tomorrow.

House hunting is hard...house bidding is even harder. Good luck, I hope it turns out well for you!!!

UPDATE: I have an official contract in hand. PD NEEDED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It's official. Nikki is going to lose it by the end of the week. I understand about 0.5% of this stuff and have a zillion papers in front of me. Agggggggggggggggggggggggh!

Nikki,

If the stress level is too much, think about hiring a real estate attorney. Before doing so, ask about his/her fee. It shouldn't be more than $200-$300. They will explain everything you don't understand.

Many may reply and say that you should have your broker explain it but unless you have a buyer's agent, your broker doesn't really work for you. Most of the time (look through those papers) you have to sign a dual agent disclosure statement that states your agent doesn't really work only for you.
