I could use some positive pixie dust. I am auditioning for our local community theater's production of Beauty & the Beast (the Disney version) tomorrow night, and I really have been looking forward to this, and really want to get a part. Any part. I'm a little nervous, because it says "Come dressed to dance" and dance is definately not my strength.

So I could use some good wishes!

Thanks Dis buds!

here are a bunch of dancers for you.. :cool1:  :dance3:

Break a leg ( not really PLZ ) but thats what is said in show biz

Ahhh...GOOD GOOD LUCK!!! :cheer2: :cheer2:

LET US KNOW AS SOON AS YOU KNOW ANYTHING!!!!! :thumbsup2

We are all cheering for you :thumbsup2

Awww, thanks everyone! I just talked to a friend who went to auditions tonight, and he explained the whole process to me, so now I know a little more what to expect. I'm actually really excited for auditions, not nervous at all. And I know some other people that are going tomorrow night, so that should help.

I just hope I get a chance to sing "Home". I love that song! We are just auditioning with songs from the show, so at least I didn't have to have anything prepared.

Fingers are crossed for you. I have an audition tomorrow am. Nothing for something as big. Just a returning part for Howl O scream.

I think auditions went pretty well. I think I did the best on the vocal audition. The dance was fun to learn, but difficult. I think I caught on to it pretty quick though. I forgot to do all the arm stuff I was concentrating on the feet so much. And we also had to read...I think I did okay on that.

We find out sometime this coming week if we got cast. I really have no idea what if anything I am going to get, so we'll see!

Well everyone, it doesn't look like I got in. I still haven't officially gotten the rejection postcard in the mail yet, but a friend of mine who auditioned got a call that he made it on Monday already, so I'm not holding out much hope.

I was really looking forward to being in this show. I've been in several musicals, and this is only the second time I have been rejected, so I'm not use to this. I am a little upset, but I'll get over it.

Long story short, I feel that the audition process may not have been as fair as it could have been. The director of the show has not had much experience (she is only 23 years old), and I feel that she may have given her friends who tried out "special consideration". If she didn't know who you were, she hardly even watched you during the audition. I hate to sound like, you know, sour grapes because I didn't make it, but there are other veterans of this particular theater group who were passed over also.

Oh well, life goes on...

Thanks to everyone who offered support to me though!

Ahhh...darn...we were all praying for you, here on the DIS!!! Don't stop auditioning because of this one rejection (or so you think :worried: )...hold your head high and keep on plugging!!! :thumbsup2

Don't give up, there's still hope. Give HER a call. *chuckles* Sometimes Persistance pays off. Break a leg!
